Directions
By car:
Gatehouse of Fleet is easy to find, midway between Dumfries and Stranraer on the main A75 Euro Route. The Murray Arms Hotel and Restaurant is located in the centre of Gatehouse of Fleet, on the corner of Main and Ann streets next to the clock tower, a prominent local landmark.
From the South follow the M74 north beyond Carlisle and exit at the first junction in Scotland (signposted for Gretna Green and the A75). Take the A75 past Dumfries and drive on for approximately 30 miles before turning right onto the B727 to find Gatehouse of Fleet a mile or two further on.
From the North follow the M74 south to Beattock and exit onto the A701. Join the A75 bypass just north of Dumfries and from there follow directions as above.
By train:
The Murray Arms Hotel and Restaurant is serviced by national rail with stations nearby in Dumfries (FirstScotrail) and also in Carlisle (GNER, Virgin).

From Cairnryan / Stranraer Ferry Terminals take the A75 eastwards towards Dumfries for approximately 40 miles. Turn left, just beyond Cardoness Castle, on to the B796 to find Gatehouse of Fleet.
