Music weekend 28/3/25 -31/3/25.

Pros: I was staying at Abbey Green Cottage for 3 nights from the 28th of March to the 31st of March. My husband booked the Cottage for me and a friend. We were attending a music weekend run by The Firelight Trio at Shambellie House. New Abbey was ideal as a base. The cottage was within walking distance of the venue. Everything in the cottage was well presented, and the beds were very comfortable. The village is very nice however the shop closes at 16:30, the tea room. At 16:00 and the Abbey Tavern only opens at the owners discretion. We were having lunch and dinner at the venue. Otherwise, we would have to travel by car for a pub or restaurant. . I would use the cottage again if there is another music weekend.

Comfortable, neat and tidy, great shower, nice village.

Pros: the space was perfect, very neat and tidy, all that you require to have a comfortable stay. full kitchen facilities and good hot shower.

Cons: The only criticism would be that the host only supplies wood and coal for the first night. I think when you pay to stay in a cottage which advertise an open fire, the wood and coal should be supplied when you pay such a lot of money to stay there. you should not have to go out and buy your own wood and coal. disappointing.

Cosy, comfortable and well equipped accommodation in the middle of beautiful Dumfries and Galloway.

Pros: Location exceeded our expectations. Having travelled widely in Scotland, Dumfries & Galloway was a new area to us - beautiful scenery, beautiful beaches and lots of things to do & discover. We will be back. Accommodation was cosy, comfortable & very well equipped. Parking was easy right outside.

Idyllic little cottage in a great location.

Pros: Perfect location. Our second stay in this small but well equipped cottage. Used as a base for getting around the area it is ideally located and clean with all the essentials. Hosts are nearby but we have not needed to contact them, A pleasant and relaxing stay.
