West View Cottage in Seaside Village of Allonby Cumbria

Pros: Fantastic location , the owner had great communication really enjoyed our stay

Pros: The cottage was clean, warm & comfortable with a lovely view of the bay from the upstairs lounge window. The cottage/area was a great place to relax after a few weeks touring the north & Scotland. It was also a good base for exploring the coast & the lakes.

Perfect for a relaxing reset!

Pros: This lovely upside down property is so cosy and clean. Perfect for a couple wanting to escape and reset! Parking outside the front door and a minute walk to the fabulous deserted beach! Took our dog which was pre arranged with Maggie, which was no hassle and left the pet fee and the property on departure. Definitely want to book again! Thanks Maggie!

Cons: The thing that bothered us the most was having to leave!

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property

Pros: Position was fabulous opposite the beach and view of the sea and Scottish mountains from the lounge window. Very clean with lots of homely touches in this lovely cottage.

Cons: For me (but not my husband) it was difficult to have to go up and down the stairs to eat etc. - having the eating area upstairs and the kitchen downstairs was a problem for me - I do have mobility issues - but that's my fault for not having thought about it. It is clear in the description of the property. The stairs are quite steep too. The price you pay to have the lovely view from the lounge.

The cottage, on the whole, felt homely. I'd rate this property 9 out of 10.

Pros: The cottage was very cosy and clean. We felt very comfortable and safe in it. We liked the privacy it provided and the flexibility of being able to pick keys up ourselves. There was lots of space in the cottage to keep our belongings organised and safe (i.e. in the living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom). The views out of the window, of the scottish mountains were stunning. The location was great for our purpose of getting into the lake district. Parking was nice and easy in front of the cottage. It is private parking so is reserved for guests. The shower was also excellent with very good pressure and temperature control.

Cons: The downside, which only affected my partner was that she said the bed was too soft for her. For me, I slept fine and didn't have any issues. The box for the key was also a bit stiff, making retrieving the key confusing. But we pulled down the lever AND pulled down the door of the box and were able to pry it down easily. But we got the keys within a few minutes so it was very minor.

West view cottage

Pros: The cottage was spotless and clean and very easy to find, also had all the facilities we needed for our stay this was our 2nd time we stayed here and would recommend anyone come and stay here

Pros: The location was excellent and easy to find. The house was spotless with everything you need. Modern and comfortable.

Cons: Nothing springs to mind

Pros: Close to shore, quiet location but close to all local amenities.well equipped cottage with good supplies of hot water and central heating although we had good weather. Parking in front of the cottage views out of the lounge are lovely.

Cons: Unfortunately the mattress was a bit hard for us but that is a personal preference issue. There is a bench to sit out the front of the cottage but no designated private area.

Cosy cottage, beautiful sea view

Pros: The cottage was lovely and cosy. Had everything we needed. Stunning sea view from the window. Perfect location for walking along the beautiful Solway Coast.

Cons: Loved everything

Pros: It was very cosy and clean had everything u could ask for the bed was very comfy so relaxing and very quite the beach was only cross the road which was even better the host does a great job of keeping the place so clean couldn't have ask for more love to book here again would recommend this place to anyone
