We had a lovely few days in Glentrool and would like to return.

Pros: Lovely cottage in great spot for walking and lots of lovely walks from front door. Good accommodation with everything we needed.

Cons: Bath towels could have been a bit thicker!

Pros: Glentrool is just amazing, there are so many spectacular places to visit on the doorstep. The cottage is probably the cleanest holiday cottage I have ever stayed in, without any exaggeration. Very comforting and cosy. The hosts were on hand and incredibly helpful too and there were lots of trail route maps provided. Would definitely go there again - we want to climb Merrick!

Fantastic, comfortable and worth the value

Pros: Spacious enough for family of five, nice well kept garden and secure to allow dogs to run free. Loved the screens in place to stop midge’s from coming in. Easy access to paths for walks. Owners were pleasant and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely stay😊

March stay at Culsharg. Mist, mountains & moors.

Pros: Because there was just two of us each had a room so that's my preferred choice. It was very quite. Heating was efficient and we loved the log burner. Generous supply of wood. The host kept in touch and lived close by. A personalised welcome card was waiting. They were happy to give us an early check in and were relaxed about leaving time BUT that's not a given and is a lovely aded extra on this occasion. Lots of info on walks etc.

Cons: Nothing worth noting! If I had anything to note I'd do it direct with the host 😊

Perfect family location

Pros: Perfect location easy to access all activities whether it's on foot or by car. The bed was so comfy and cottage was very fast at heating up. Dave and Beth were amazing hosts with lots of information left about all local activities and other places to visit.

Gezellig huisje in een prachtige omgeving

Pros: Het huisje is heel knus en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het heeft een ruime achtertuin. Het is heel schoon. Het huisje ligt midden in Galloway Forest park. Vanuit het dorp lopen meerdere wandelroutes.
