Lovely Cottage on Hadrians Wall 12 Miles From Carlisle

Lovely big cottage

Pros: Great cottage. Nice and spacious. Lovely welcome present. Large rooms. Very cosy.

Cons: Being very picky - grill didn't work, a bathroom radiator didn't work and no potato peeler. First two reported to owner, so hopefully those get fixed. Very picky negatives.

Pros: The cottage is situated in a beautiful quite little village with plenty of walks around the area. It was like home from home, with everything you need and little thoughtful extras. Bottle of prosecco and biscuits. Loved the Christmas tree and the log burner. It was really cosy after a good days walking. The cottage was spotlessly clean, parking outside too.

Pros: The cleanliness, the location, the quiet, very comfortable , had everything you needed to feel at home, Joe even put the fire on for our arrival making the lovely and warm

Cons: Nothing , it felt just like being at home

Pros: Really warm, comfortable and spacious accommodation. Rooms were large, all the facilities excellent. Newly decorated, well equipped, lots of nice furnishing and features. Little details like having the woodburner stove lit for our arrival, a welcome gift of a bottle of prosecco and shortbread, and even a christmas tree made it feel really homely. And for the price, even off season... great value. Also a really lovely location, though the cumbrian weather meant we couldn't get to do much walking. And pretty convenient for shopping in Carlisle. Overall we had a great weekend break and a highly recommended property.

Cons: Honestly nothing. No reflection on the property, but there was a power cut one morning affecting lots of properties. But Joe, our host, kept us updated and it wasnt a problem, as everything back on well before we returned that afternoon.

Pros: Beautiful property, arrived late got into fresh smelling bedsheets and nothing beats that for me. We all loved it. Found everything we needed made our stay amazing
