The Cottage @ 59

Lovely little place in a quiet village. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Lovely cosy little cottage with a wood burning stove.

Cons: The second bed room was a bit small but the bed and bedding was really comfortable

Pros: Beautiful property with excellent facilities. Hosts were very lovely communicated everything that was needed and offered further information when asked. Overall, an amazing stay and we will absolutely look to stay here again!

Nice place, close to the ferry,

Pros: Small village not too far from the main road. Depending on which road taken in, one was very windy! Facilities were modern and good. Everything we needed was there. We were there overnight for the ferry the next morning so did not explore the area

Cottage 59

Pros: We loved it well decorated very clean everything you need

Cons: The back of the house was disappointing decking broke and slippery. Bins smelly and toilet pipe needs replacing but we knew about that before we booked

Host really helpful and cottage felt like home for a night

Pros: Bright clean and had the big garden for the dogs fully enclosed

Pros: I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage! The place was spotless and beautifully decorated with great taste. The beds were very comfortable, and I appreciated the excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

Comfortable and cosy home from home with a touch of luxury.

Pros: The property was booked as we were attending a wedding close by. It’s an unassuming terraced cottage but upon entering, it has a warm and cosy feel. There’s a log burner, but we didn’t use this. There was a comfortable lounge with large screen tv and a well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were upstairs and beautifully dressed and equipped with Luxury bed linens, duvets and pillows and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was on the ground floor and had a lovely shower and was nicely decorated with fluffy towels and luxury bath products. The cottage was lovely and warm too! It’s a lovely quiet location, hardly any traffic.

Cons: The bathroom being on a different floor was a minor inconvenience for mid night visit. It’s a 15 minute drive to Ballantrae and the nearest shop but again, as long as you know, you can come prepared and we were informed of this.

Enjoyed

Pros: We were traveling to take a ferry and this was our stay over the night, but I would go back for the serene atmosphere in the village and the shower. Beds were very comfortable, we had a proper good sleep there.

We loved the little house and it was ideal location.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable with a welcome pack. The owners knew it was a special occasion and had left Prosecco and chocolate as well as milk and eggs. Nice touch!

Cons: On arrival it was soooo cold in the cottage. Perhaps it hadn't been occupied for a while. Took a full 24 hours before we took our coats off! Perhaps turning the heating on for an hour before we got there might have made first impressions even lovelier! Also, no plug for kitchen sink but we improvised.
