The Chalets

Very good stay, good place.

Pros: Good place, v nice in the chalets. I wasn’t sure what the building was to its side, but looked like the hotel from the shining. Just needs a tidy up out back by the chalets

Pros: We loved the location! So convenient to get to (if you don’t mind narrow roads!) and short drive away from so many beautiful places. The place itself was spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed. Comfortable bed and it was so quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: The photos don't do it justice, really lovely little place. Location is good. We had storms so rain stopped play on any hiking so we went to the local pubs which were really nice, great food and drinks. Lovely view of the garden. Pat greeted us and communication with Phil was excellent.

Cons: Unfortunately we did have a power cut so the place was quite dark and we had no facilities to make tea/coffee. Not sure if there were lanterns/gas stove available but these might have been handy. That being said, we did appreciate the updates on when the power would be back on :)

Pros: It was beautiful clean and very comfy beds. There was everything you needed and in a great location for nice walks. Half an hour from scafell pike. I would definitely recommend, owner introduced themselves and said if we needed anything to let them know and left us to it.

Pros: Perfect location for exploring scafell pike. The space was very roomy (I travelled alone but would be ideal for a small family). Local pub recommendation was spot on and the garden was an added bonus. I would definitely consider staying again in future.

Pros: Lovely home from home. Wonderful base for exploring. Everyone was friendly, great communication and helpful information about the local area. Would recommend.

Great location in Eskdale

Pros: Loved the balcony and bird food to feed the birds. The garden and the view. Comfy settee and beds. Location good for the hills and west side of the lakes. Good local pubs.

Cons: Could have done with more towels, only 1 hand towel.

Pros: Perfect location and beautiful gardens. Super easy check ins and comfy beds.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Pros: Everything was perfect. We felt warmly welcomed and taken care of even during miserable weather conditions.

Cons: Rainy days, but it was suspected at the Lake District.
