Pros: Absutely loved our stay at Ancrum House. It's finished to an exceptional standard and was spotlessly clean too. The amenities are great and the 4 bed 4 bath accommodation is great. Tracey was a great host too who communicated well throughout the booking and was there on arrival to meet and greet. Highly recommend this place

Absolutely perfect and didn’t want to leave

Pros: Ancrum House was absolutely amazing! The house was absolutely spotless and Tracey was excellent and explained how everything worked! The kids had their own space to play which meant us adults could get some time together as well! It is the most beautiful house we have ever stayed at and can’t recommend highly enough to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday experience. The property isn’t far from the train station and only 14 mins to Carlisle which meant we didn’t need to drive!

Amazing stay

Pros: We liked absolutely everything. The house is beautiful and you can find everything you need . Great location, wonderful garden, and especially the hot tub! The host, Tracey, was kind enough to let us check in early, and during the whole stay, she was sooo helpful. I would recommend to anyone to stay in this amazing house and we would love to come back again!

Lovely house in good location

Pros: The house was absolutely spotless, with great facilities. Well kitted-out kitchen and comfortable beds. The bathrooms have clearly been redone recently, so everything felt very fresh. The garden is a lovely suntrap, with the hot-tub and trampoline being particular highlights. Tracey was very welcoming and provided a bottle of pink prosecco for our arrival. Great location to explore the local area, or slightly further afield - the Lake District is within easy reach for a nice day trip.

Cons: No negatives, apart from the fact that the bbq needs replaced. Having said that, there was a family-sized disposable bbq available for us to use, so it didn't detract from our stay in any way.

Pros: Always up to a high standard the cleanliness and the facilities are amazing. This is my second group booking here and I will definitely be back.

Beautiful house to stay in!

Pros: Had a brilliant stay at Ancrum House for my sister's hen weekend! The house was amazing and had everything that we needed and more! Tracey was lovely, came to meet us when we settled in to show us how to work the hot tub and there was a bottle of prosecco left for us which was a lovely touch. Would definitely love to stay again in the future, thanks again! 🥰
