Two nights local to my daughters

Pros: Location was main thing for us as near my daughters. Two nights were needed. House had all the basics. Convenient to the pub. Parking on street.

Cons: None

A beautiful break in sunny (yes, sunny!!) Cumbria!

Pros: Beautiful location and a great two bed cottage opposite Greystoke Castle with easy roadside parking. This break was part work and part leisure. It lovely and quiet, it was safe for Dot the cocker spaniel. There were great walks outside the front door and in nearby areas. We had a great 4 days and there are plenty of places to photograph too - lambs, fell ponies and landscape. The weather was beautiful for Spring and we wished we had stayed a little longer!

Cons: A bit chilly but OK when the heating kicked in

Pros: The set up of the cottage was nice with the fire aswell, great that it was dog friendly too

Cons: The only thing would be that it didn't have a garden but will the green outside it wasn't really a problem

Cosy cottage in good location

Pros: Comfy and cosy, great info for the area provided, nice log fire and good location.

Cons: The shower was weak, and the kitchen could do with a few basic additions - maybe a new tin opener and salt and pepper.

A cosy cottage at the heart of Eden’s best kept large village

Pros: Location in the village, a short walk from Quirky Workshops - a course there was the main purpose of our stay. The village pub is close by, with excellent food. The post office opposite was available for daily papers ans food essentials. The cottage was clean, comfortable and furnished to a high standard. T V and a log burner made it a cosy hideaway for an autumn break. Prompt attention to radiators reported faulty.

Cons: There was no access to the garden so I wouldn’t want to stay there in summer. There was only enough fuel for the first night. Had we known we could have brought logs with us. It’s difficult to please everyone in terms of equipping a kitchen, but we would have appreciated a tea strainer and egg cups, a cover for food in the microwave

Great stay, will be back !

Pros: Excellent location, comfortable and clean! Would have loved to stay longer.

Cons: I was very cold one night, and could not find a blanket, so it would have been nice to have the option of a blanket. Super to have complimentary wood for one night but would have loved to have bought more, but did not know where to go as the shop had none. Maybe we could have been pointed in the right direction for more wood.

A great place to stay

Pros: A very well appointed cottage in a lovely location. Plenty of room for four and the kitchen was fine for catering (the decent knives were appreciated!). The nearby pub is thriving and serves good food (although one ale was undrinkable due to dirty lines).

Cons: There could have been one or two more items in the kitchen (eg; large bowls, a large saucepan suitable for pasta)

Lovely cottage and fantastic value

Pros: Lovely cottage. Great location. Very comfortable. Good quality kitchen utensils and crockery etc. Very pleased with our choice and would stay again if in the area. The Boot and Shoe pub was a bonus for us as it serves good food and is within easy walking distance. We had a great stay

Cons: The property didn't appear to have been fully checked before our arrival. It was generally clean but it was disappointing to have to move several spider webs and dead spiders from the back bedroom and lounge alcove. Also there is a lack of wardrobe space. Drawers only in back bedroom and the hanging space in the main bedroom was too high to reach. Not really an issue for us but it could be if 4 people were staying
