The Old Stable

Great location!

Pros: The location was brilliant, right in the heart of Keswick but away from.the hustle and bustle.

Cons: The bed pillows and sofa were not comfortable, we were only left with 2 toilet rolls, this is not enough for 3 nights over Christmas when all the shops are shut.

Pros: Very clean throughout the cottage and a super comfy bed.

Pros: Wonderful location. Very cozy. I had everything I needed.

Cons: WiFi was a bit flakey and lights were tricky to figure out

Pros: Location 10/10, perfect for access Keswick for the food and drinks venues, and the Lake District for the hiking and scenery. The electrics were a little odd, lights dimming out of nowhere and sockets that worked whether switched on/off.

Perfect for couples wanting to be cosy and enjoy Keswick.

Pros: The old stable was nicely decorated, felt comfortable and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. Space was well used and the location was perfect. It was nice to have the upstairs Juliette balcony and the stable door and to open to let air in which in summer would be a lovely. Although it’s central, it’s slightly set back and surprisingly quiet.

Cons: Lack of shelving in the bathroom and no mirror other than the bathroom one, a mirror on the unit at the bottom of the stairs or on the wall near the balcony would have been helpful. Also outside light didn’t work (or we never found the switch), so had to use phone torches to unlock the door which can be fiddly.

Pros: Really lovely stay at The Old Stable, compact and practical accommodation yet comfortable. Great location in the centre of Keswick -- we could walk to all the shops, pubs, and restaurants. Also plenty of walks to do from the town centre which was great as we did not have a car.

Pros: The location of the apartment was perfect with close by car parking and lots of shops and eating places nearby. The accommodation was very cosy for cold evenings and had everything we needed! We couldn’t have asked for much more!

Cons: The signal on the TV and the WiFi did cut out quite a bit but it didn’t matter much because we didn’t really need it - the WiFi was only useful because there wasn’t any phone signal at the apartment which was great when you want to escape from real life for a bit!

Perfect little place for a short stay

Pros: Location! ⭐️ right next to Alhambra cinema which was awesome for us visiting town for the film festival. Cute conversion with high specs and cozy interior. Bed was large and comfortable. Has fake balcony and lots of sockets near bed.

Cons: Toilet was downstairs and floor was cold. No place to store outdoor/wet/muddy shoes. Low hanging ceiling upstairs and closetspace was unreachable - above staircase

Great location , well equipped had a wonderful stay well book again

Pros: It was sell catering everything we needed was at the property

Cons: well kitted out, modern, clean and compact

Fantastic property , book it fast as I can see it getting booked quickly.

Pros: The property has been done to such a high spec , it’s got everything and more you could possibly need . The location is fantastic , just off the high street and a great central location for all sights in the lakes . Overall one of the best we have stayed in .

Cons: Nothing at all !
