Cosy country cottage in rural location

Perfect February Escape!

Pros: We loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well kitted out. The log burner was amazing, especially on a cold, snowy day! The cottage is well situated in a peaceful location, a 5 minute drive from the center of Moffat. We would absolutely love to stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

Cosy, comfy cottage

Pros: Lovely cozy bolt hole which was perfect for our onward journey to the Highlands. So many thoughtful touches and great to have a the stove, cosy bed and space for our dog outside to have a leg stretch after the journey. Wonderfully clean and well laid out space, ideal for our stay. Thank you so much.

Cons: Nothing really!

Our favourite overnight stop on a long journey we make several times a year.

Pros: Lovely cottage, warm and welcoming on a wild night. I have some mobility issues, but have no difficulties here. We’ve stayed several times now, and are looking forward to staying a few days next time, instead of just overnight.

Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like.

Perfect stop over on a journey from England to Scotland. Welcoming hosts and everything we needed.

Pros: Owner proactively messaged to let me know how to gain access to the property.

Cons: Directions to the cottage could have been a little more detailed. We were travelling in the dark so did end up having to turn around on ourselves to find the right property.

Cosy, beautiful and peaceful

Pros: This place is just truly lovely! So cosy and beautiful inside, and such a peaceful location! The bed was lovely and the kitchen was very well stocked! We loved the log fire and the host was great, I would highly recommend!

Pros: The cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished and has very effective heating - a real plus on a frosty night! The kitchen has everything you need , and the enclosed garden is great for the dog.

Cons: We liked everything about the cottage very much!

A lovely little cottage to stay in for my husband and I.

Pros: The property was easily found with excellent directions from the owner and it was ideal for two people. It was in a quiet location - just what we wanted. Special mention must be made of the bedlinen - it was especially lovely to sleep in.

Cons: The heating was temperamental, but quickly sorted by the owners. There were no other negatives.
