A lovely relaxing 3 night stay

Pros: Cosy, warm, comfortable and very well equipped. David our host was friendly and welcoming, very close to town and some lovely country walks. No hesitation in recommending Carty Cottage as a great place to discover the local area.

Carty Cottage

Pros: The location was great. It's just a stone throw from Newton Stewart. From my front door on a clear day, there was an amazing view of Cairnsmore. The peace and quietness were amazing, too. On my second morning, I caught sight of deer in the field next to me. The cottage was always nice and warm, too. Can't say a negative thing about this place, what so ever. I will definitely be back again on my next visit. Very friendly guy living there, never passed without a hello and is always around to help should you need it.

Cons: All my comments are positive for Carty Cottage at Barrhill Farm Cottages. What an amazing place. There is no traffic or street lights at night. Just peace and quiet. Definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to the Newton Stewart area. Suppose the only thing i could say is I wish I found this place sooner. I am looking forward to my next trip already, cause I know where I will be staying.
