Cosy, comfortable house with a gorgeous garden

Pros: The house was super comfy, the garden area is gorgeous and we had everything we needed for a relaxing girls weekend away. We all really enjoyed the farm setting and the views, and this area of Scotland is truly worth exploring. The host was great too and super responsive. We had a lovely time! :)

Pros: the location was great for exploring the south West coast made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived at the property the house was fantastic it was cleaned and maintained to a very high standard it's peacefully quiet at night and the night skies are great to look when soaking in the hottub

Cons: only there for 2 nights

Fabulous hot tub stay in a great location. Would thoroughly recommend

Pros: This property is stunning and in a gorgeous area of the dark sky park. The hot tub is great and very private. Lynne was a lovely host and we had a great time

Cons: Not a negative just a โ€œ be awareโ€ the stairs up to the second bedroom are narrow and very steep so not suitable for everyone

Beautiful place that exceeded our expectations!

Pros: This stay was perfect. The location is beautiful, away from the city and busy roads, surrounded by nature. The star gazing from the hot-tub was a unique experience and we even managed to catch Aurora Borealis. The cottage itself is very well equipped with all the essentials for cooking, as well as quite a few kitchen appliances (e.g., microwave, toaster, kettle, hob, oven, fridge/freezer). The bathroom is small but looks recently renovated and very nice. There are no toiletries, but everything else is provided. The beds were really comfortable too and there is private parking right in front of the cottage. The communication with Lynne with brilliant throughout. She was quick to respond and helped us with all our questions and needs during our stay. I wish we could have stayed longer and thank you for everything.

Cons: N/A

Loved it and will definitely be back

Pros: Hot tub was great, in dark sky park so the stars were spectacular. Owners were very friendly and if we had brought the kids they wouldโ€™ve loved being so close to the farm animals. Self catering facilities had everything you would need.

Cons: Bathroom heater kept switching off making the bathroom totally freezing in the morning

Pros: Spacious and newly refurbished..spotlessly clean. Surprisingly quiet considering it's situated in the farm yard.. parking couldn't be more convenient.

Cons: The gallery bedroom is inconvenient. The stairs will be inaccessible to some, lack of headroom and storage. Overlooking the main living area and TV. I'm sure kids will love it.

Was very good

Pros: Was very clean and comfortable very relaxing the location.

Cons: Towel rail didnโ€™t work. Only one towel per person so nothing for my girlfriendโ€™s hair. Also, with a hot-tub and rules to shower before and after using it means using wet towels for the whole stay as no way to dry them quickly enough. Clothes horse was a great

A lovely farmstay out in the country

Pros: The house was lovely and very comfortable and warm and had everything we could have possibly needed. The beds were very comfortable and everything was quite clean. Lynne was lovely and explained things to us upon arrival.

Cons: I definitely have a better appreciation for what farm life looks like! The farm seems to wake up around 6:30 and go to bed at 9:30. Although the details said 'farmstay', I don't think I realised exactly what that would look like. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great, which might be a small thing. My son was quite keen to take a farm tour as it was mentioned in the booklet we were given at the start of our stay, but we couldn't because it was calving season. Perhaps the book should be updated to include that there are certain times when tours aren't available so as to avoid disappointment? Lastly, I wasn't aware the hot tub would be so far away from the house. There wasn't a roof or pergola over the hot tub, which meant that there was nowhere to put our towels and clothes when it was raining outside (and it rained two out of the three days we were there!). It might have been helpful to have a little changing shed near the hot tub where towels and clothes could be hung or placed out of the rain as it would still be fun to use the hot tub, in the rain.
