Robinsons Cottage

Pros: Lovely cottage in the heart of Cockermouth. Right in the middle of the shops and restaurants. Although so near to shops and restaurants it was quiet.

Cons: Did not provide table cloth or placemats. We had friends round for a meal and were worried about marking the table but they do provide everything else that you would need to prepare a meal with.

Great stay in cockermouth!

Pros: Great location, on the doorstep to the high street but still very quiet. Lovely hosts with good communication who were very flexible with us with check in/check out times which worked really well for us. Comfortable, clean, Cosy little cottage with everything you need.

Great location, lovely house and quiet although it's in the town centre.

Pros: Location was great - right in the centre of town. Communication was great before the visit including very clear directions, and useful information was left in the house. Loved having the wee patio area right outside the door.

Cons: Parking was a bit of a pain but the hosts provided very useful information about lots of nearby options.

Pros: Great location Just what we needed for a couple of nights

Cons: Shower ran either boiling hot or stone cold

Great place for a short stay exploring the Lake District

Pros: Location, good wifi. Well equipped. clean bathroom

Cons: Cobwebs and spiders, no washing up liquid. Unusual bedding

Another Great Stay

Pros: Absolutely love this place. The girls always are so helpful. Well situated. Parking 5 mins walk away and only £12.20 for 3 days. Plenty bars and food places nearby. Can't wait to come back.

Fab cottage in a brilliant location

Pros: Fab location. Responsive owners. Great little cottage with everything we needed.

Cons: Only suggestion would be that a secure area for our dog would have been the icing on the cake.

Perfect location, great value for what we paid and had everything we needed.

Pros: Lots of charm, central location. Nice outdoor space. Was quiet, beds comfortable with fresh clean bedding. Unlike a lot of expensive properties there were lots of extras such as plenty of toilet rolls, bin bags, clean kitchen cloths & tea towels. Also tea bags, some condiments and toiletries in the bathroom which was appreciated.

Cons: More specific directions to the property instead of just the address as the close door between the shops was open so we didn’t see it. Needs some interior updating and more detailed cleaning (windows/blinds) however it was fantastic value for money and had everything you needed. Although there’s a courtyard it wasn’t secure for our dog so we had to be careful. The outdoor planting needed some TLC (I watered some of them!).

Very Pleasent

Pros: The location was great. Although finding parking was a bit of a pain. The free street parking was about a 10 min walk away and not the easiest to find. The disc parking was out in front of the property was few and far between but we managed. The property had everything we needed and the hosts provided detailed instructions which were helpful. The shower was hot and had good water pressure.

Cons: The house could do with a bit of an update and it would be a 10/10. The sofa was very well used, still comfortable but was marked up from use. The house had a bit of a smell of mildew when you walked in. We opened the windows and it was fine but it perhaps needs a dehumidifier. The beds were comfortable but I think new bedding and pillows could really make a big difference. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very dusty making it not work very well. Also, the pans are non stick and were scratched making them not safe to use as I believe it can release toxins when cooking on it.

Pros: Everything. Host was so obliging. Will definitely stay again. Set off the main street. Parking just up the road. Lovely and clean.
