The Barn

Superb home, beautiful location with spectacular views

Pros: Stunning apartment, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Cosy and warm when we arrived. Easy check in with key code and fast response from host. Location is absolutely stunning and perfect for accessing the mountains. Upon arrival we were greeted with the smell of freshly baked bread which had been kindly gifted by our host Shirley along with fresh eggs and milk. We really enjoyed our family stay at The Barn and would love to return.

Pros: It was styled really nicely, was clean and nice place outside of entrance to park. Was given eggs & bread which was lovely & appreciated.

Perfect, just what we needed

Pros: The property was lovely and our hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome, including providing eggs, home made bread and locally sourced milk :)

Enjoyable stay at the Barn.

Pros: The Barn is very well equipped & had everything I could possibly need and was very comfortable, very clean & modern.

Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Pros: The peace and quiet, it was sooo relaxing. If you need to take a break from a busy life this is absolutely the place to stay 😌 The view from the back of the accommodation was stunningly beautiful, could sit and look at it all day. Great location to access all the North Lakes has to offer. Accommodation was soft cosy and comfortable Well equipped kitchen too.

Cons: Coming home.

Our family stay at The Barn, Ellonby

Pros: The characteristics of the place makes it an experience on it s own

Cons: Just the Flies when you leave windows open but still did not annoy us that much since it is the countryside what would you expect?

Pros: Lovely and clean, comfy and cosy and very well equipped

Cons: Would be nice to have somewhere to sit outside, but didn't spoil our stay.

Wonderful place to stay in the Lake District

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at The Barn. The apartment was cosy, spotless, and beautifully presented, a home away from home. Shirley is very kind and welcoming, and a freshly baked loaf of delicious bread waiting for us, along with fresh local eggs and milk was such a thoughtful surprise. They also have a fantastic selection of activities listed in their guest book and plenty of leaflets with a wide range of options to suit anyone’s needs, so even if you arrive with no plans, you’ll still be sorted. Every detail of the apartment showed care and attention, and it was the perfect place to relax. Couldn't recommend it more highly.
