The Galloway Steading - The Stag Hoose family cabin with Hot Tub and Fire Pit

Cosy cabin close to the beautiful South Rhins

Pros: Beautiful setting, it’s close to many amazing walks, beaches and stunning parks. The accommodation has been carefully sited to maintain privacy. We enjoyed the hot tub! The accommodation is compact, but more roomy than some other similar ones we have stayed in.

Cons: We’ve visited before - but this time our kids are inevitably a bit older (10+13) and we felt like we’re at the limit of squeezing them into this type of accommodation with the bunk bed arrangement. This isn’t a criticism as such - more something for us to be aware of on our next travels

Pros: Absolutely stunning cabin and location. Wish we stayed for longer.

Pros: Location was beautiful and the pod was clean and tidy. Loved the extra thought put in by staff providing Children’s books on my daughter bed… love the extra touch. We had an issue with one of the pips leaking during our stay and they staff were brilliant and very helpful.

Cons: They could no fix the leak and it was a reoccurring issue during the stay

Definitely recommend and we will be back again

Pros: We had a few days here and we both enjoyed it . Would book again and bring the kids too . Nice garden area for the dog to be of lead . We had a look in the shop ..was plenty to be had , everything you need for stay .

Cons: It’s not a didn’t like issue more a us preference but the hot tub area could be doing with more covered so it could be used in all weathers . We had strong winds and would have enjoyed it more if sides were covered .

Pros: We had an amazing stay here, would highly recommend. Place is stunning. I have already booked to go back

Cons: Only negative I could give is it would of been nice to have bigger towels or robes for coming in and out the hot tub. But that not a major issue as next time I visit I will bring my own.

Pros: Quiet location. Close to beach and lake. Hot tub and fire pit were an added bonus.

It was great. We had a lovely anniversary weekend, with some much needed R&R.

Pros: The location of the Stag Hoose was great - lovely and quiet which is what we were looking for. The hot tub was brilliant. It was ready to go, a great size, private and with great views. Everything that we could have needed was available in the pod, and the 'Wee Shop' on site was great for picking up any extras.

Cons: The stay was great, and no complaints. If we had to pick something, the bedding (pillows, duvet) could have been of slightly better quality to reflect the price but it was perfectly adequate for our stay and did not impact on our experience.

The best memories for our family and our dog

Pros: Absolutely everything, hosts are fantastic, pod/garden was gorgeous and the hot tub was a massive bonus!

Cons: we couldn’t stay longer!!!

Pros: Cabin was in a beautiful, tranquil surrounding. Super clean, fantastic little honesty shop which allows you to get extra supplies like fire wood. Used the facilities including the firepit and hot tub. Hot tub was super clean and you still had privacy from other cabins.
