The Galloway Steading- The Bee Hive Couples Retreat with Hot Tub and Fire Pit

A brilliant winter break

Pros: Excellent location Nice walks to the beach and local town (pub) Accomodation spotlessly clean and had everything we needed And communication with the owners was excellent The hot tub is great

Perfect stay, super cosy and comfortable

Pros: This was our second stay here, since our last stay there has been more cabins built but it still felt very private and peaceful. It was very cosy with amazing views and an extremely comfortable bed! We slept so well. Staff were on hand via booking.com with very quick responses, within 5 minutes of me messaging about heating and hot water the gas canister was changed - couldn’t have asked for a better or quicker response. The place has everything needed for a break and the wee shop is a great touch with lots of DVDs to borrow.

Cons: Guest WiFi could be included in the price paid and some sort of lighting at the entrance off the busy road could be added for at night as the turn in was quite difficult to see in the dark.

Very relaxing stay in comfortable well appointed accommodation

Pros: We liked the property and it was ideal for our short break. The enclosed area for our dog was very much appreciated and the hot tub was well used. We did not have any matters to comment adversely on and hope to go back for a stay in the future. Location is good for general sightseeing in the Mull of Galloway, Port Patrick, Whithorn etc all easily accessible.

Cons: Nothing to report - we were very satisfied.

Pros: This place is stunning . Beautifully crafted pods with thoughtful designs. We stayed in bee hive . Cracking view . Couldn't fault anything . Definitely recommend . The owners have put so much care and attention into it .

Perfect little weekend away

Pros: Lovely little pod with everything we could need in a beautiful location, lots of fresh air, had an enclosed garden space for our little dog to run free and we didn’t want to leave !

Cons: Maybe a few small solar lights to guide way to pods as not easy to find if you arrive in the dark as we did purely due to it being mid winter. Some instructions for hob as not the easiest to figure out. As others have mentioned toilet appears to be leaking..initially thought condensation but was seeping from base of toilet Also as other guest mentioned noise from vent is awful if it is windy..not sure if anything can be done..I initially thought we had a squirrel or something in the room so was relieved to find it was the vent. Overall cleanliness was good but maybe need to check sofa on occasion..dropped a pen down and found a pile of rubbish..bit offputting.
