Cosy and Peaceful
Pros: The hosts Chris and Lisa were friendly and welcoming. I liked the choice of breakfast timings and a varied selection of breakfast options. Enjoyed the delicious cooked breakfast where you can choose from a several options to create your own. The home made bread and also the homemade pancakes were delicious. Chatted about the history of the building. It had been the local Police station and it was interesting to see Police memorabilia. The room was peaceful and was very comfortable, spacious with a high standard of cleanliness with everything you need. The bed was super comfy. A home from home.

Thoroughly enjoyed this unusual B&B with its ex-police station history. Hosts were very welcoming.
Pros: Breakfast: The breakfast options were good, and the cooked breakfast very well prepared and presented, with a clear choice of items. Cereals were available and choice of hot and cold drinks were good: the cafetiere coffee was good quality. The hosts were very flexible about serving times. Bedroom very comfortable. The B&B is in a quiet location near the town centre, and there is good off-street parking. Despite not being locals, the hosts were knowledgeable about the local area, well-connected, and able to provide recommendations about meals and activities. There is a shortage of good B&B in this part of Scotland, so this does go towards meeting a need. The building is an ex-police station and has some interesting features, worth asking the hosts about.
Cons: The bathroom for our bedroom was adjacent, which does mean leaving the room, although the access is secluded enough;(some people may prefer to request the other bedroom with an internal en-suite bathroom). The town overall is a bit tired and lacking in shops of a tourist nature, although you can get most things you need locally or in Ayr or Stranraer.

Best bed and breakfast ever stayed in.
Pros: Very welcoming owners, very friendly and happy to chat away with you. Rooms were spotless and had everything youβd ever need if you forgot to pack anything. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent, owners always making sure you have enough of what youβd want and checking if youβd like any more of anything. Highly recommend this place.
Cons: No complaints whatsoever.

Pros: Beautifully restored old building done with excellent design taste and attention to detail. Large, comfortable room, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Welcoming hosts and a fantastic breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Easy to locate with clear directions for parking and arrival - the welcome was excellent and warming and the bedroom was very comfortable and very well appointed - the building has lots of character and the hosts create a very relaxed environment - breakfast was absolutely spot on as ordered and very early at our request as we were leaving early - extremely hospitable hosts
