Dogwood Lodge

Pros: The lodge was fantastic, just as the description, clean, warm and welcoming. The quietness was great, the morning views of the mountains were also great. Only a short drive away are great places to visit too. A perfect base for relaxing or exploring. We will definitely return.

This was idyllic, a beautiful sanctuary in the heart of the lakes.

Pros: The lodge contained everything you could possibly need! It is beautifully decorated and styled, very spacious and comfortable. Perfect retreat to just relax and take in the stunning all-round views. Will definitely return!

Pros: Was à beautiful lodge everything you could ask for the views were stunning it was so peaceful the lodge had everything you needed they even left us a little dodgy welcome pack which he loved and tea and coffee for us. We had fantastic weather so we sat out on the decking most of the time and you couldn't get sick of the veiw and then watching the sunset. Our little dog loved it just a short walk up from the lodge is a bench on a little hill that's a lovely touch my partner surprised me with my birthday presents all layed out up there in the morning it really was a fabulous holiday 🥰

Cons: Little bit out the way for a shop but because we had the car it was no problem 15mins drive to Cockermouth had all the supermarket's what I didn't like the most we had to come home we tried to book extra few days but fully booked up 😪 if you get the chance to stay here you won't be disappointed

Pros: Absolutely stunning 5 star plus lodge,everything about it is pure class,the fittings and furniture are second to none, the welcome pack was much appreciated. Now for the best bit , the views.The mighty Skiddaw range is laid out for you from the front decking and views of the Solway coast and beyond are visible from the side / rear decking.The park itself is immaculate. Communication with Cathy was very good.all in all a wonderful break.Definitely be going back.

Stunning lodge, modern decor, idyllic views, spacious, comfortable, we didn’t want to leave!

Pros: Absolutely stunning lodge! The decor, the space and the facilities are to a very high standard! Cozy, inviting, spacious and modern. Views from the lodge are amazing! The lodge is situated currently with 3 other lodges, very far apart, so we loved the privacy and had no concerns with our young children playing outside. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best, extremely high winds and rain but it meant we made the most of the lodge. The lodge was equipped with everything needed for our short break. Added equipment like the iron, iron board, hoover, brush and shovel, hand wash and lotion is a great touch! Will definitely book again for a longer stay. Thank you for our stay.

Cons: Main bedroom double mattress slightly on the soft side. (Hubby said it was too soft, I didn’t mind it). Could do with board games, for when the weather is rubbish. Also some cleaning products for wiping down surfaces would be ideal.
