Comfortable home from home

Pros: Very well equipped holiday home. Comfortable and warm. Great views and well located in the Langdale Valley

Cons: Very steep driveway for access to the property

Pros: Fabulous location, really well thought out, homely accommodation. 2 bathrooms make for an easy life. Superb views of the Langdales from the terrace & upstairs’ windows . Fridge & freezer space, washing machine & drier ( not that we used them) Drying area in the porch . 👍

Did exactly what it said on the tin!

Pros: Great location, with shop and pubs close by. The views were magnificent and the outside space was also welcome.

Cons: No big issue but very steep drive to property.

Pros: Awesome location with amazing views of the langdale pikes,bird feeders hung on fence attract so many visitors including nuthatch,greenfinches,goldfinches,robins,coaltit,greattit,bluetit,chaffinch and more.

Cons: Wish the garden was more secure for dogs but manageable,the drive is steep but you don’t need a 4 wheel drive.

Pros: House is nice and open and feels very spacious. Everything you need is in the house. Nice gsrden. Beautiful view to wake up to. Fantastic location, calm, near a village, great walks right from the front door.

A fantastic stay at a lovely location!

Pros: We spent a great week In Lingmoor View in Chapel Stile. A lovely place to stay, spacious and quiet with beautiful views on the surrounding hills and peaks. The house is very clean, well kept and very well equipped. It has its own parking area. An excellent location from where you can make all types of walks and trips to e.g. Elterwater, Great Langdale, Grasmere, Ambleside. The only hiccup was that we were given the wrong code to the key safe by the front door when we wanted to enter the house upon arrival.

We had traveled for 6 hours and arrived in the pouring rain. We could not enter the house and it took ages and a lot of phoning before somebody came to give us the right key code.

10 out of 10, we'd try to stay here again if we were to go back to the Lake District

Pros: Location very good, outside of Ambleside so quiet, but an easy drive to the town when we were ready to play tourist. From the excellent view from the window which greeted us in the morning to the comfortable beds which welcomed us at night it all exceeded our expectations. Every appliance you could want was right there, although we didn't make us of most of it.

Cons: Only a very small point, we had trouble locating the property at first. Getting to the vicinity was straightforward, but finding the entrance to the property (which is set back from the main road) took a little doing

Pros: Excellent location. Stunning views. Animal- and child-friendly. Comfortable. Clean.

Cons: The road leading to the property has potholes that require repair. Unless you're driving a 4x4, there's a risk of scratching your car. Even a simple fix, such as filling the pits with gravel, could address this.
