Remote, dark sky (as long as you time the moon phase right) breath taking views

Pros: cannot overstate how beautiful this location is. Remote is definitely the word of the day. We would have seen the biggest display of the northern lights in the last decade had it not been a full moon at the time with thin cloud cover lighting up the whole sky like a white bedsheet. If you are lucky enough to stay during a storm like we did the house sings in the wind as it is very exposed, but if the sun comes out you will not find a better place to sit and contemplate your day.

Cons: Only thing to be aware of is if you are a little bit unsteady on your feet the stairs are a bit uneven. And depending on the time of year you visit (March for us) the kitchen floor can be a bit cold under foot so remember to take your slippers!

Cosy autumn stay

Pros: Amazing location and overall set-up / lay-out of the property. Got everything you need including good heating for the colder months. House and garden and well fenced around so it feels safe with kids and dogs. Huge rooms all around the property, could easily accommodate more guests.

Cons: Nothing.
