2 Bed pet-free cottage

Pros: The area is ideally situated for the coast ,easy to keswick Buttermere ,cockermouth ,whitehaven . Lovely compact cottage with everything we needed wfi etc .

Cons: When we arrived the place was extremely cold ,it took 2 days to get warm ,it's a shame nobody had put the heating on.The net to the back windows were thin ,and could have done with thick ones in winter ,also the stairs curtain were thin too. The mattress was like sleeping on a board extremely hard no sleep at all first night.But apart from that we enjoyed our stay as we were visiting friends nearby.

Pros: The house was lovely. Clean and everything you could wish for. The bed and pillows were great. Lovely little garden.the owner allowed early check in at no extra cost which was lovely of him. Very prompt with replies. Lovely views. Would definitely recommend and would book again.thank you for everything. A true gent with a Lively home away from home.

Cons: Parking. Street parking so at times as expected struggled to get a space BUT don't let that put you off booking this little gem

Great value cottage in a good location

Pros: Great location, comfy and warm. Massive beds, very roomy.

Cons: Shower was a little disappointing but warm and functional

Perfect litte gateway

Pros: there was instructions for everything we needed: wifi, tv, pubs around, also how to use heating everything was clean and ready for our stay

Lovely break in a beautiful area

Pros: Excellent location for exploring the coast and Lakes area

Cons: We didn't dislike anything; but initially found the stairs daunting

Pros: Good location silence in the area approachable to the tourist attractions

Week at the cottage

Pros: The cottage has everything you need after hiking in the unpredictable Lake District weather. Heating, extra blankets, bath tub and Amazon prime to relax on the sofa with the hot cup of tea. Beds are big, and the kitchen is well equipped. We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the lovely garden, as it was pouring every day. Good choice of books.

Very enjoyable

Pros: Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was available. The house was very clean and comfortable and minimal noise from the road outside. Lovely little garden to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Cons: Parking is at a premium, this has been mentioned in previous reviews. When we arrived we had to park half way down from the house and it was a bit of a drag lugging the cases up. But it didn’t ruin our stay.

Enjoyable and would not hesitate to book again .

Pros: Attention to detail was great. A few extras that a lot of air b&b’s don’t have. Lots of loo roll been the best!!!I could not fault this house. Thank you. I enjoyed my stay.
