Amazing little cottage

Pros: We arrived late at 830pm. Chris was there to meet us, he gave us all the information we needed for our stay. Then he went away and came back with delicious freshly baked scones. There was fresh milk in the fridge and eggs from Chris hens. Enclosed garden for our Labrador. The location is amazing, 2 minutes walk to the river and acres of woodland to explore. The bed was lovely and comfy. Great bedding and towels and good shower. Chris provided lots of information about the local area and dog friendly places to visit. Our favourite beach was Croy. Only a short drive from the bothy. It was very quiet and ideal to let the dog run and swim. Thank you for a lovely stay. We ll certainly be back.

Cosy night away at the Bothy

Pros: Chris gave us a wonderful welcome to the property and went above and beyond giving us a lift to the wedding reception we were attending. Little touches made the place homely. Sorry we didn’t get more time to relax and explore the surrounding woodland.

Pros: Beautiful property in a stunning, peaceful riverside setting. Chris was a wonderful host. Friendly and hugely kind when I had car problems which delayed my leaving. This place is a little gem. Spotless, and equipped and furnished to a really high standard. Lots of special extras like eggs laid by their own hens. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Beautiful bothy in a lovely location, exactly as described

Pros: It is set in a beautiful location, quiet and peaceful with lovely walks on your doorstep. The bothy is exactly as described. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped. The free range eggs from the family chickens were a very tasty treat too!

Hidden Gem

Pros: This is a hidden gem. It's beautiful and well equipped. The walk by the river is really nice too. We would have loved to have stayed for longer. Complimentary eggs were a thoughtful touch.

Doonbank cottage

Pros: It was in a very good location, half an hour away from everywhere we wanted to visit around Ayr, the river beside the property was really nice and relaxing, much better than a hotel, very private and you were left to it, owner lived in property beside the cottage but never seen him till we left. Cottage had everything you need, got free eggs from his chickens on first day and scones which was a nice touch. Would definitely go again

Cons: First meal ,toaster gave off a bit smoke that set off smoke alarms, used grill after that, everything else was great

Amazing

Pros: So beautiful, I was worried about the bad as I have a bad back but it was so comfortable and I'd love to know where they got there pillows from. The walks from the door were great and the owners were there if I needed them, my fresh eggs were from Henrietta and so tasty. I will definitely be back.
