Carrock Cottage

Our stay was fantastic, made all the better with a great host.

Pros: Our host contacted me prior to our arrival with all the details I needed in relation to accessing the property which was incredibly straightforward. The location was ideal for all that we had planned. Carrock Cottage is immaculately presented with plenty of space for our group of 6 and has all you need for a comfortable stay. The property owner is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable of all we needed to know in relation to the local area. Our host even gave us a tour of their farm where the cottage is situated which was fantastic, informative and gave a huge insight into the life on a working farm.

Pros: Cottage was on a working farm, desite how busy the host was she still took time out to show us around the farm. Felt very privileged to have had the chance to be so up close to the cattle and learn how the farm operated

Our stay at Carrock Cottage was brilliant and we are looking to book again in the near future.

Pros: This property is exceptional, the photos do not do it justice. The scones and shortbread on arrival were delicious and welcoming after a seven hour drive! Cannot praise this property enough.

A friendly welcome to an amazing cottage

Pros: Tonia and John had left shortbread and homemade cheese scones out on arrival, greeted us at the door. House was spotlessly clean, with everything you need. Beds were really comfortable with lovely bedding, cottage is on a working farm, the owners gave us a tour round to see their dairy and beef cattle. Totally amazing.

Cons: Absolutely nothing could have been better, can't fault the cottage, owners, or area.

Pros: Stunning home, within stunning countryside and wonderful owners who can't do enough to help.

10/10 would stay again

Pros: Spent a birthday weekend there with friends and couldn’t have asked for anything more. The place was immaculate and much larger than we were expecting. The owners are lovely and incredibly helpful and clearly care about their guests enjoying their stay. 10/10 would return and stay if/ when back in the Lake District!

An amazing stay for a relaxing family holiday

Pros: Fabulous clean and spacious cottage, suitable for a family or a group. Beautiful setting and loads of home comforts. Host brilliant and super helpful and friendly. Felt welcomed, comfortable and totally relaxed - bliss!

Cons: Double beds as used to king.

Wow! What a gem of a place! Beautiful surroundings, highest of standard cottage and perfect hosts!

Pros: Wow! What a gem of a place with stunning surroundings! When we arrived, check in was simple and swift, Tonia and john had left us a lovely bottle of bubbles, a card, homemade scones and biccies! Such a lovely personal touch. They made us feel like long-lost friends, with nothing too much trouble. The cottage itself was outstanding! No expense spared in any way, high-quality appliances and furniture, every single piece of crockery, cutlery and kitchenware you can think of. The beds were super comfy and again.. high-quality bedding, cushions, etc. It was meticulously clean from top to bottom. Such a beautiful location, with an amazing working farm!!! You will not be disappointed!
