Home from home

Pros: We spent a week at the property over Christmas and it was perfect! It had everything we needed and felt like home for the week. The hot tub was fantastic and very well maintained and Iain was on hand for any help that we needed during our stay. Would highly recommend.

A Pre Xmas Family Meet Up

Pros: It was the perfect place for our pre-Christmas family meetup. Upon our arrival, there was a beautifully decorated tree, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner. Storm Darragh was raging outside but you wouldn't have known inside the house. Very comfortable beds.

Mountain biking holiday

Pros: Stayed here with friends to do some mountain biking. Perfect for our needs. We loved that there was a secure bike store. Also loved the wood being just across the road for a morning stroll.

A fun time had by all.

Pros: We recently had the pleasure of staying at Middle Byre, and we can't recommend it highly enough! This massive house comfortably accommodated our group of six. The fact it had a bathroom for each bedroom was fantastic as we were staying here partly for a holiday and partly for a wedding nearby, which made getting ready for the wedding very easy The highlight was definitely the hot tub; it was the perfect way to unwind after busy days of exploring. The enclosed garden provided a lovely, safe space for our kids (and our dog!) to play, while we enjoyed a glass of wine. The hosts were absolutely brilliant. Friendly, attentive, and full of great local tips. They also serviced the hot tub every morning. They made us feel right at home and ensured we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay, but did not intrude in any way. If you’re looking for a retreat with plenty of space and fantastic amenities and great value for money then we really recommend Middle Byre.

Great value you for money for such a well equipped house.

Pros: Increadibly spacious. Lovely and warm even with a storm raging outside. Loved that every bedroom had its own bathroom. Really fast internet. The value for money was unbelievable as well. Only £50 per head per night. We were staying here to attend a wedding but we have booked a week for next summer. We can’t wait to come back.

Cons: Didn’t like it when we had to pack our bags to leave.

Spotlessly clean and great value for money.

Pros: It was one of the cleanest holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. This was our first visit to Dumfries and Galloway, and what a beautiful part of the world it is. We were only in the area for a few days to attend a wedding, but we will definitely return to explore the region further.
