Glen Roe - 3 Bed Lodge on Friendly Farm Stay

Pros: We had such a lovely weekend in Glen Roe with friends. The house was cozy, the jacuzzi was perfect, and we really enjoyed being around the farm animals. Cat was super helpful and welcoming, which made everything easy. A really sweet and memorable stay — thank you!

Peaceful stay

Pros: Had a brilliant few days at Meikle Westland Farm. The lodge was clean, really cosy, and the hot tub was perfect after a walk in the crisp autumn air. Cat, the owner, is very friendly and hard-working. She made us feel very welcome from the start and clearly puts her heart into the place. The work she does with the rescued animals is amazing - you can tell she knows her stuff, and the animals are well looked after. Peaceful, quiet, and a great escape from everything. Would definitely go back.

Pros: Loved accommodation very clean and comfortable.It is in the middle of nowhere but hot tub was amazing and spotless.

Cons: A lot of dog poo on premises.

Break with family

Pros: Beautiful lodge in a great setting. Everything you need to be self catering, cosy and comfortable. Meeting Cat and the animals was great. Absolutely pitch black at night.

Cons: The lane into the farm was a bit bumpy but ok if you take your time down.

A fab few nights.

Pros: Cat was so welcoming. The lodge is cosy and brightly decorated. The animal pictures throughout are a lovely touch and the kids found the picture of the cow in the bath hilarious. Nothing was too much trouble for Cat. We arrived during the high winds of a storm and she apologised for not having the hot tub set up! We totally understood and managed to use it the next day. The highland cows out the back of the lodge were really friendly and it was lovely being welcomed by the dogs. The lodge was really child friendly with plastic plates, bowls and cups. The smart TV was great as we logged into netflix and the kids were able to watch a movie in the evenings. All in all a really lovely couple of nights away.

Pros: Perfectly peaceful, spotless clean and very well equipped.

Good chalet and host with challenging farm road.

Pros: Spacious living room and toilets, good TV, friendly host and interesting animals. We loved the dalmations.

Cons: The farm track is as described and challenging for some cars, fortunately we only met oncoming traffic once. The Central Heating seemed a bit odd.

Fantastic host, nice location, great lodge.

Pros: Cat is a great host she made me feel welcome right away. I absolutely loved my accommodation! It was incredibly comfortable and had everything I needed to feel right at home. The location was perfect, offering stunning views. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, which made for a truly relaxing stay.

Cons: There was nothing i didn't like about my stay at the lodge.

Unique, beautiful, comfortable… we will return!

Pros: Location was remote but perfect for us , we where totally blown away by the highland cows literally right outside our lodge, so so beautiful and unique 🥰 the lodge was just beautiful, cosy, comfortable and had everything we needed !
