I felt privileged to have been in this historical home with its old furniture and tapestries.. place provided everything

Pros: The history of the home and being part of it for a moment in time.

Cons: Downstairs was dark even with lighting and would have liked to use the tv in that space as it had a beautiful big fireplace which I decided not to use because the tv was in a difficult spot. There is a nice sitting room space with an extra tv but no fireplace in but the home is still warm and cosy. Wifi didn’t work the best..

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at The Pend. The historic furniture and beautiful fireplace made the house feel so cosy and full of character. It truly felt like stepping back in time, yet with all the comfort we needed. Such a charming and special place – we loved every moment of our stay.

Cons: The main room was a little dark in the evenings, even with all the lights on, but in a way it added to the authentic atmosphere – it really felt like experiencing how people might have lived in the Middle Ages by candlelight.

A great piece of history we lived in!

Pros: Great location, amazing interior, lots of history! Nice landlady! A unique cottage which takes you back into 16th century Scotland!

Cons: Nothing to complain about.

We enjoyed our stay, were very comfortable, it was definitely worth the visit.

Pros: It's a very charming property and has lovely historical features. A nice big fireplace and traditional old decor to match the antiquity of the building. The town itself is historically interesting due to the priory of St Ninian, and there are all sorts of things to do around the town and short drives to other nearby towns. The children really enjoyed the Pend and will remember it since it is so quirky.

Cons: If you like cooking, the kitchen is a little cramped, I guess being so old it can't really accommodate a modern kitchen. But all the necessities are there and we cooked evening meals and breakfast, and the dishwasher made cleaning up easy. The bathroom only has a hand shower in the tub and having it hands-free would be a useful upgrade.

absolutely brilliant, would definitely recommend and would stay there again

Pros: we love the old-fashioned style of the property, it was done so beautifully. The attention to detail was outstanding.

Cons: The only downside to the property was the shower, there was no holder for the showerhead, so you have to shower yourself down in the bath

Pros: The house is unique and fabulous, if you are interested in History. There is even a replica Iron thatched house jand museum just behind.

Cons: We liked it all.
