Perfect for a short stay or to explore the countryside
Pros: A hidden gem just off the beaten track. Only a 20 minute drive from Cairnryan in the middle of beautiful countryside. Food was excellent - both our supper and breakfast. If you like small individual properties to stay in then this is the place for you. Full of character but with a modern touch.

A wonderful place to relax
Pros: Staying at the Kenmuir Arms was such a joy. Our room was spacious, light and beautifully furnished, with everything carefully designed and lots of thoughtful touches. Everyone we met was warm and friendly and we appreciated the time they took to chat to us, especially Chris, the chef, who cooked the more fabulous dinner and breakfast for us. The Kenmuir Arms is a real treat and we very much hope to return.
Cons: Nothing, it’s lovely.

Pros: What can I say about this little gem of a hotel! Absolutely brilliant hosts, brilliant food, lovely setting beside river, very comfortable room, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We loved it. The Sunday roast was amazing, the beef just melted when you cut it. Breakfast was a feast of Scottish flavours. The whole ambience was just superb. Thank you Michelle, Beth and Chris for your hospitality.

DO NOT OVERLOOK THIS PLACE
Pros: This beautiful place deserves more than 10/10. It is charming, beautifully refurbished, immaculately clean, comfortable, and stylish. That's just the side of the building and accommodation. The food is incredible. The choices on the menu are varied, but the winner for me was the tasting menu. It told a story of the local area, all homemade even down to the bread. The dairy is all sourced locally. The chef is so talented and imaginative. My only regret was not doing the wine pairing to compliment the food. Oh well, another reason for a return visit! 😄 All of the staff were amazing especially Chris the landlord/chef and Michelle 👏👏👏. I took lots of pictures of the food I had on the tasting menu, but there was only space for 4 on here. So you all need to book a stay and check it out for yourselves 😁
Cons: It would be really hard to find fault with anything, but if I had to nitpick, it would be that as I am only 5 foot 3, I found the shower head and mirror in the bathroom were a little higher that I was comfortable with, but still, not a massive issue

Excellent 'pub and rooms style' hotel, great staff and locatkon
Pros: Really lovely country hotel, super staff, location and excellent food. Very much recommended.
Cons: Not much to say. The fire sensor things in the room are quite bright so not ideal for those that need a dark space to sleep.

Pros: 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. It’s a new hotel and it’s absolutely spotless. Good caring staff, lovely little bar area, cracking food and lovely local customers.
Cons: It’s of the beaten track but thats a very minor point.
