Really beautiful - but no access to pool as we expected as listed as having a pool.

Pros: The house was beautiful, and the hot tub was lovely. The coffee machine was my husband's highlight though! Brilliant kitchen. The slow cooker was a really great addition. Contact Kate directly for help - she was quick to assist when the beds had been made up incorrectly & then helped hugely with recommendations for the local area. She was wonderful. Sofa & beds really comfortable.

Cons: I had searched for a place to stay with a pool - this property doesn't have access to the pool as standard and when we found out how to book after arrived it was fully booked for the week. The listing stating this has a pool is not accurate and I would not have chosen this property had I known we did not have access to a pool. This was a really big disappointment to us. Some smaller issues also needed to be checked - the BBQ was filthy & we had no means to clean it. Some of the plates / pots etc needed to be cleaned before use, which in a place otherwise spotless was very disappointing. We tried to use the water cooler in the fridge on arrival - only to find it was broken and leaked. No signage The cottage instruction booklet had other former guests chinese take-away order carefully logged, but no 'how to use' instructions for key equipment. This could really easily be remedied and would be a huge help. The blind in the main bathroom was broken so we had to use towels to cover the window or next door looked directly into the shower. Beds made up with just a bottom sheet over a stained mattress - no cover etc when we stripped the beds.
