Beautiful Traditional secluded country cottage

Pros: The cottage was perfect, very quiet and peaceful. The views are amazing.

Lovely Galloway minibreak for three adults

Pros: Excellent communication from hosts Ben & Tim, replies to messages were very quick & informative. They were also very considerate & thoughtful during our stay - you honestly couldn’t wish for better hosts. The cottage has gorgeous views outside & like staying in your our private National Trust house inside, plus it’s wonderfully comfortable & warm! We stayed during storm Amy & were cosy at all times despite the strong winds & heavy rain.

Cons: Nothing - we were very happy with the property

Pros: It was absolutely silent which was amazing. Although the house is on a working farm, it's set a little bit away from it so we felt like it was just us. The house was toasty and well equipped with good quality appliances. Decor was lovely and fitted with the age of the house. Nothing felt old and tired. Ben was lovely and very approachable. Lastly the internet and mobile signal were great

Cons: Any criticism would just be nitpicking. It's a very old house on a farm in a very rural area. We loved it

Pros: Close to main roads but feels like you are quite remote....house is warm and comfy....still retains victorian character....fantastic clock which seems to lose time slowly....great walks close by and friendly top pedigree sheep 🐏🐑

Pros: Everything!!! The cottage is beautifully decorated from top to bottom. The kitchen is so well equipped, including a full dinner set of English fine bone china. The bedrooms are gorgeous with very comfortable beds. The views are superb. But the icing on the cake was that our hosts, Ben and Tim, could not have been more welcoming and congenial! We will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous cottage to all! Oh, almost forgot to say… we found lots to do and see within easy access of the cottage.

Cons: Nothing, but I forgot to take my own hairdryer

An exceptional experience in a beautiful place, we absolutely loved it.

Pros: This is such a special place. Beautifully restored with all the comforts of home: comfortable, cosy, convenient to local sights and services. Nearby Sanquhar is a fascinating, historic village with a small but thoughtfully curated museum in the Tollhouse. It also boasts the oldest Post Office in the world. Mennock Pass is spectacular. The kitchen is well equipped to cater simply for your stay. A washer with detergent supplied made staying for 5 nights so easy. Ben and Tim are lovely, friendly hosts, and we appreciated the welcome pack of some fresh bread, fudge and some Irn Bru. The views from the cottage are stunning. We would return in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to travellers looking for something a little different.
