Homely feel & a warm welcome

Pros: A lovely warm welcome from the owner Susan and her beautiful 2 dogs Claude & Hugo. The hotel has a really nice homely feel to the place and in the morning we were treated to a hearty Scottish breakfast. Thank you 😊

A home away from home !

Pros: The host is lovely and kind. My experience was amazing and I loved the cozy atmosphere of the place. Location is perfect to explore Galloway Forest Park.

Perfect little spot

Pros: I loved the welcoming attitude of our host & clean room with great amenities. New Galloway is a bit out in the wilds but it is incredibly scenic and provides a peaceful sleep and great cooked breakfast in the dining room in the morning. There's a smoking area at the back and a local shop as well as a Post Office and café with bar in the arts centre where I had an excellent seminar.

Cons: When I upgraded, I should have booked a double room with double bed! It was V comfy and warm though.

A comfortable and relaxed stay.

Pros: A good sized room with a good sized and comfortable bed. The shower temperature was easy to control. Both a cooling fan and a separate heater where available. Nice furniture with plenty of room for my things. A good breakfast available at a good time.

Cons: The television was old, small and with poor picture quality.
