Miterdale A Wonderful Home in the Idyllic Duddon Valley

Idyllic property with beautiful views over the surrounding hills and landscapes.

Pros: The property was beautifully situated in the Western Lake District surrounded by the most incredible views of nature. The house was perfectly clean and had all of the amenities that we could possibly think of. Our favourite part of the property was definitely the sitting room; the fireplace was so lovely and logs were provided for us. The TV had netflix and sky already logged in for us, so this made for a lovely cosy night in un front of the fireplace. The property was so much bigger than we initially thought and made for a really lovely extended weekend. We especially loved the small furnishings that had cows on them and the drive through ‘sheep country’ as we called it to get to the property! We will definitely be hoping to come back at some point!

Cons: I don’t think there was anything we didn’t like about the property! It’s definitely the sort of place you’ll need your own transport for as it’s rather remote but we loved this aspect of it as it felt like we were really submersed in the local nature and way of life.

Much bigger than expected.

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised how big this apartment is. Plenty of room to do my yoga. Private parking at entrance, flight of steps up to the front door. Everything we needed, especially washing machine and dryer. All facilities worked well. Really good shower, constant temperature and good water pressure. Beautiful views in remote location, plenty of walking trails nearby or just relax. Clean and comfortable. Lots of maps and books about the area. Would stay again.

Cons: If anything, the sofas are getting a bit worn, but nothing to be too worried about.

Pros: Spacious property with wonderful views of the fells. Facilities in the property were good and the location was good for access to Wasdale, Eskdale and the Langdales.

Cons: The property was accessed by 16 steps which was tricky for a member of our group who is registered disabled.

Perfect stay in an idyllic location

Pros: Loved absolutely everything. Great location, extremely clean and comfy too. This is our second time here and we love it.

Cosy place in the middle of beautiful nature

Pros: Wonderful location, parking for one car, several walking routes right from the place. Quiet and beautiful. It was warm and cosy, also very nice to find a Christmas tree prepared for us 😊

Cons: Carpets can be a problem for allergy sufferers, one person in our group really struggled on the second day of our stay. Not a problem with the property (it was quite clean) but just something to be aware of.

A clean and comfy place to explore the Lakes!

Pros: A very clean and comfortable stay with plenty of space :)

Cons: Could do with a bit of a freshen up inside but all in all in great place to stay!

Pros: Spotlessly clean, comfortable, very well equipped and very friendly hosts!!

Cons: Property is lovely and spacious had everything that we needed including dishwasher tablets etc.

Amazing place to stay

Pros: We have loved our stay here. It was the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed, beautifully decorated, and in the most beautiful place. Can’t wait to come back!
