Great Stay

Pros: Amazing location, not far from Keswick and Bassenthwaite and so peaceful. The Lodge itself was amazing, cosy and more spacious than expected. Perfectly appointed kitchen [and bathroom] with the comfiest bed we've slept on in ages! Everything was super clean with quality tea/coffee/hot chocolate and proper milk, rather than the horrid little sachets etc. It really was a cosy little hideaway with beautiful views. The owner even sent a little video message with directions on how to approach the Lodge which was helpful as it is a big property.. Overall, a wonderful stay and we wouldn't hesitate to come back when up this way again.

Cons: The only disappointment was the miscommunication over our food requirements. The owner sent a message asking us about this through the third party booking site rather than directly. Unfortunately we missed it and it was too late to advise we would have liked breakfast.

Pros: Although I didn’t eat the meals, i could have booked them, but having my own kitchen was such a treat. The space was an unexpected delight, even had a little table that opened up. It worked well for my indoor meal, when it was tipping down with rain.

Cons: not a thing….will look to be going again!
