Pros: Stunning, cosy, spotless, gorge bathroom and even better hot tub! Views were so good didn't read nearly as many books as planned! Dog-friendly touches and general amenities were really thoughtful! Found the lodge to be really soundproof as well :)

Wonderful, cosy countryside retreat

Pros: We had an amazing stay at this lodge over Christmas and it exceeded our expectations. The lodge is set in beautiful countryside, it’s modern, very clean and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils and amenities – we managed to cook a full Christmas dinner with no issues at all. We also appreciated the little touches, including the Christmas treats/fresh produce left out for us. The hand washes and lotions smelled amazing as well. One of the highlights was sitting in the hot tub under the stars on a clear night – it felt very private and peaceful. The property is very close to Loch Ken, and we drove to the ruins of Kenmure Castle about ten minutes down the road which was worth a visit. Communication from the host was brilliant from start to finish. I’d recommend this lodge to anyone and would happily return myself.

Pros: Amazing 2 night stay at The Barn. It was spotless, spacious and set in a stunning location. Fully equipped kitchen. The Barn had everything you needed. The perfect chillout.

A great lodge for a quiet getaway

Pros: Great lodge with fantastic views. The lodge was cosy, clean and comfortable, with some milk and eggs left for guests by the hosts. The hosts were also quick to reply to a query via text message. The hot tub was maintained during our stay so you don't need to worry about any chemicals, and there is a tv where you can log into your streaming services. WiFi works pretty well, too. The two lodges have their own terraces which are fenced in, though the barriers couldn't hold back our labrador who managed to jump through. Not an issue, as there is an outer perimeter mesh fence surrounding the two lodges which he couldn't escape. There were plenty of sheep in the neighbouring fields for him to look at, too, so he was happy.

Cons: Hardly a negative, but the electric shower has little water pressure. To be expected from electric and didn't negatively impact the time at the lodge in the slightest.

And relax

Pros: Peace, quiet and solitude. Ideal place to get away and just relax. Stunning view from hot tub.

I picked the perfect location for my ultramarathon. Very relaxing.

Pros: Location, amenities, comfort was faultless. Hosts were very accommodating. Very clean and tidy. Great value for money and I can not wait to return with my family.

Cons: Absolutely nothing to report bad.

Pros: Quiet, peaceful location. Views were amazing. Property was lovely and had plenty of nice little touches. Will definitely return in the future.
