Skerrow is a lovely cosy, warm and clean cottage located in a friendly village - certainly a place we wouldn’t hesitate
Pros: Loved the location - Skerrow was a very welcoming warm and comfortable retreat from the icy cold weather we had during our stay. The cottage had all the appliances we needed for home cooking and there was a plentiful supply of hot water for a bath or shower. The Community shop managed by such lovely helpful ladies was well stocked with a great variety of products as well as all the basics.

Pros: Skerrow is like a hidden paradise garden tucked away behind a small shop in the beautiful small burgh of New Galloway. We had a wonderfully peaceful holiday at Skerrow. The cottage is bright, clean and comfortably furnished. There were lots of welcome added touches to make sure we had everything we needed. New Galloway is nestled in beautiful countryside with a wealth of lochs and places of interest. It is a very friendly village with a very friendly village cat, a community shop, post office and community arts centre. I look forward to returning.
Cons: I liked everything.

10/10. Shop next door fabulous
Pros: Fabulous location. Terrific accommodation. Warm, cosy and well appointed. Could have happily stayed the week if time had allowed. Would highly recommend.
Cons: Didn't bother us but there is a flight of steps up to the property which may not be suitable for some people.

Fantastic place to stay in the heart of Galloway.
Pros: Great location, lots of things to do. A beautiful garden to enjoy.
Cons: There was nothing wrong with the property, just a shame there was no pub in walking distance.

LOVED IT !!
Pros: Accommodation was self catered so breakfast question not relevant. Accommodation was spacious, nicely appointed, well laid out/equipped and very clean. Especially loved the large private secure garden
Cons: The ONLY negative was the configuration of the bath/ shower. Taps badly sited at one end, plug control badly sited at the other end, so not particularly comfortable to recline in. However, balanced against everything else being so positive, it was a minor issue.

Lovely cottage
Pros: Lovely cottage, perhaps bigger than the pictures suggest too 😊 clean, my dog loved the garden too, and although right by the shop, felt like your own little private oasis
Cons: The village doesn't always have pavement for pedestrians, so usually explored by car - just an FYI, obviously no one's fault!
