Wonderful house in the heart of Keswick.

Pros: The location is excellent, right in the middle of the town and close to Derwent Water. The property feels homely, like you’re staying at your Nan’s and is well equipped for a self catering stay. The beds were really comfortable and the living room had a cozy feel to it. The use of the garage was handy albeit difficult to get a mid sized car in due to the size of said garage and other cars parking in the area outside. The use of car parking in the town was a real bonus. Thoroughly recommended.

Cons: Little to be negative about. The WiFi is very slow and because the town seems to have a real issue with phone reception it caused a few difficulties for our son who needed access to decent WiFi in the evenings to work. If you can survive without it (and given the wealth of things to do it shouldn’t be hard) or don’t mind slow connection speeds then it’s hardly worth a thought. It did affect us. That said, we will definitely look to book again if we’re back in Keswick.

Excellent.

Pros: This is our fifth stay at Topsey Turvey. It makes a great base for walking in the Lakes. Really comfortable to come home to, well located with everything you could need.

Cons: The new washing machine isn’t the best and one the cupboard doors was hanging off, but these problems were quickly addressed and were only minor gripes.
