Beautiful property and views

Pros: Superb, massive house with more facilities than we needed (ensuite/ bathroom for all). Plenty of space for two families and loved that there was greenery/views out of every window. We can't always get out so it was a beautiful place to be in, as well as a great location for walks/park/amenities when we were able to get out. The host was very responsive before and during our stay. We would love to return

Cons: Crossing the road outside is difficult (blind bend), especially with a wheelchair. We found crossing opposite the hospital worked best as dropped kerb both sides. Still low visibility, we positioned people at various intervals down the road to aide crossing! If you need your wheelchair all the time, contact the owner about your specific requirements to check the house would work for you.

Great place to stay lots of room

Pros: Spacious and decor was comfortable. Bedrooms were a really good size

Cons: Just for me, do not find leather furniture comfortable but great for everyone else. Had a small sitting room with fabric furniture as well that was great for those who wanted a little quiet. Books, cards, and games provided. An added bonus

Great for family reunions

Pros: We took this to celebrate an 80th birthday in the family. It is a superb house, location, host...we would not hesitate to book again.

Cons: Having to leave!

Lovely property in ideal location

Pros: The property was excellent. Very clean and well equipped. Bedrooms were ideal for our party and all bathrooms were clean with everything in good working order. Reception rooms were nicely furnished with plenty of seating for our party of 8 adults and a small child.

Comfortable large 5 bedroomed house close to park.

Pros: Good size rooms, comfortable lounge areas. Good parking.

Cons: The location is on the edge of town, on a busy road with almost a blind corner which makes crossing to the park a little too exciting. The house is looking a little dated, especially the kitchen.

Fabulous house in Keswick

Pros: The location was perfect. Everything was in easy walking distance from the property, parking for, in our case 5 cars was perfect, not something you get in the lakes. The house was well maintained, very well equipped more than enough cutlery, crockery, etc. The fact that we all had our own bathrooms either en-suite or house was fabulous, giving us all the freedom to get ready without queues. Having the extra snug gave you a place for quiet if you wanted it. The outside space was perfect for relaxing in the sun.

Cons: Nothing to give us any concerns, and Glenn was super helpful on our arrival.

Perfect accommodation with everything you need!

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Briarwood House Keswick as a group of 8 adults. The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, and really well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Having en-suite bathrooms for each bedroom was a real bonus, and there was plenty of room for everyone to relax together, with lots of seating around both the dining table and in the lounge. The location was ideal, just a short walk into Keswick town centre, where we enjoyed the pubs, restaurants, and beautiful lake walks. The house also had a great selection of takeaway menus and local information, which made planning meals and outings really easy. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Spacious house, perfect location.

Pros: Very spacious house. Location was perfect for access to centre of Keswick. Private parking was great. Very well equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer in utility room. Lots of sofas and social space. The many bathrooms made a stay for a group of 10 very easy. Lovely pub two minutes away.

Cons: Beds/mattresses could do with updating/improving in some rooms. Some road noise in front bedrooms.

Pros: Excellent location, Fritz Park is literally over the road and it's a 10 minute walk to Keswick town center. Didn't use the cars all week. Easy access to Catbells and other walks around Keswick. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 kids, the house was perfect.

Great sized house in a perfect location.

Pros: Perfect size of house for our family and the location was ideal. Situated right across the road from a big park which was great for the children. Lovely big dining table for breakfast with the whole family. 5 good sized rooms and 5 toilets/shower rooms which meant everyone could get ready at the same time. Added benefit of having an electric charger for my son's car. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cons: Few small points such as handle on the small downstairs toilet door is peeling and had rough edges which I scratched my hand on. (Handle is old and just needs replaced) Shower in small double bedroom needs a deeper clean, there was a fair amount of residue trapped inside the metal cord leading from the shower ro the shower head. I spent a good 10 minutes rinsing most of it off before I could shower but it does need a good scrub. Overall though the house was just what we wanted.
