A comfortable and Convenient Keswick Getaway

Pros: A lovely, well-equipped cottage in a central location in Keswick. It was perfect as a base for hiking the fells. Everything we needed was provided, and being so close to local amenities made our stay even more enjoyable. We would happily stay here again.

Lovely cottage, great location, Keswick was stunning as always.

Pros: The location was super close to Keswick centre, but nice and quiet.

Cons: Check in at 5pm was too late and check out was too early, it put a dampener on the last day having to check out at 9am

Lovely stay in a superb town

Pros: Comfortable, spotlessly clean. Well equipped. Beds were comfortable, duvet covers were fine but duvets poor and very old.

Wonderful cottage in Keswick

Pros: Brilliant location, quiet yet close to shops and restaurants. A short walk to Derwent Water and easy to access via public transport - bus stop 10 minutes away. Towels, plates, cutlery etc are provided. Lots of books, DVDs, games etc for a rainy day that we didn’t use as we were lucky with the weather. Comfortable and clean.

Cons: It’s important to mention that the stairs to the top floor are narrow and steep. Be mindful of this if you have mobility problems.

A great place to stay and explore

Pros: Location excellent for convenient shopping and bus station

Cons: I would have liked the outside amenity to be in a better condition.

Perfect amenities and location

Pros: Our 2nd time staying at Alvamere and we're already booked in for September. Excellent base for running and walking. 5 minute walk into Keswick centre. House is well equipped and cosy.

Cons: There isn't anything we don't like about the house. The stairs are steep but this is nothing unexpected. We had no problems parking within sight but I can imagine it gets more difficult in the height of summer but, again, that's to be expected in this busy town.

Pros: Me and my family absolutely loved this cottage. Everything was just perfect. There was everything that we needed, even a travel cot for our little baby. I would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone who comes to Lake District.

Cons: We stayed there for couple of days, and first two nights everything was just great, but other two nights the heating was turning off during the night and it was a bit cold, specially for our little baby. But other than that, everything was perfect.

Pros: Comfortable cottage with all you need for a few nights away. Handy for town and has on street parking

Pros: Great location and ideal for a short stay. Loved that there was a Christmas tree waiting for us in the living room on arrival.

Cons: The little things count. I think providing a few tea and coffee sachets for each day would be a nice touch.

Nice property for family trip accommodation

Pros: Cozy, and has almost everything for living, the heating was a brilliant, clean, nice location.
