Isabel Cottage

Excellent cottage in a great position

Pros: Isabel Cottage is immaculately clean, tastefully designed and for all it's right behind the main street we found it quiet. It has everything you need in the well equipped kitchen and the logburner was used everyday. The heating was on for us in January on arrival so that was lovely. The very large bed was supportive for my bad back and the bedding was expensive and luxurious. The bathroom has tiles I envy with a massive and easy to use shower. We had a little cleaning pack for dishes/dishwasher and tea, coffee, biscuits etc which was a lovely touch. You can order logs for the fire but we took our own, along with kindling, firelighters and matches.It has a Dolce Gusto machine. The staff at Keswick Cottages were very friendly and welcoming too. I highly recommend this cottage and will stay again. The photos were as we were leaving so my attempt at tidy was there's

Cons: It's not a complaint, more of an observation as it's mentioned by the property but our big Mazda cx5 could not fit down the alleyway leading to the cottage. We could have paid £20 for a parking permit but they showed my hubby where to check first for free parking which we used and it was only a few streets away. The Internet is intermittent but again that is not just an issue with the cottage, it's a Keswick thing. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful

Best place I’ve stayed in the lakes, would stay here again and again.

Pros: Incredible location, at the heart of Keswick on the doorstep of everything. Very clean, lot of space, logburner fire is a really nice touch to the cosy vibe it sets.

Cons: Parking is really bad. The alley way you’ve got to drive through to get to your spot is super narrow, if you’ve got a big car, forget it. Not much space if there any people parking around you either.

Pros: Layout was lovely, felt cosy as soon as we walked in the door.

Cons: Stairs, slid down them a few times, floorboards was loose under carpet on window side of bed.

Pros: Great location near the centre of town. Very nice comfortable cottage to stay in for the week. Ideally situated to access the spectacular scenery of the Lake District.

Good for a short 2/3 day stay longer term not so good.

Pros: Property located in a good position in the town but a little difficult to access in a car. Easy access to town centre on foot.

Cons: Stairs to first floor difficult to climb and possibly dangerous for older renters. Kitchen stools not comfortable for dining other than as a breakfast seat.

Ok because Keswick is such a good location.

Pros: Bedroom good. Comfortable bed. Clean. Good bathroom. Great location for all amenities

Cons: Kitchen appliances difficult to operate. Mains switches for oven and microwave not accessible for short person. Car access bad for Kia sportage. Hard to turn car around. Just about fitted through driveway .

Pros: Cosy and well equipped cottage, perfect for a stay in Keswick. Great central location, but easy to get out of town to explore the Lakes. Staff gave very good instructions on finding the property and checking in and out.

Pros: Perfect location, everything we needed was provided and host Rebecca was super kind and helpful.

Cons: No garden but the Lake being 5 minutes away is much better to stop and rest :)
