Foxglove Cottage

Pros: Beautiful location with playbacks, pond on your doorstep to explore. Fantastic for children plenty outdoor space. Nice addition to the livingroom of board games and books. A brilliant information pack provided within the cottage. A lovely added extra of a coffee pod machine to go with the borders biscuits.

A pretty cottage in a peaceful and stunning environment

Pros: Gorgeous location. Quiet and very pretty. A cosy and well equipped cottage. Good information was provided, including a village walking route map. Well furnished and pleasant to be in. Better than I expected given a reasonable price.

Wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings!

Pros: The grounds were great; beautiful surroundings to wake up to. We loved the arboretum and the wildlife pond/hide. The playgrounds were lovely too! The beds were comfy, as were the sofas. The wood burner was great on the cold nights and the eco heating system was wonderful. The bedding was lovely and clean and it had everything we needed in the kitchen/Welsh dresser. Excellent value, we paid just £317 for four nights and was well worth the money. The hosts seemed lovely on the phone and accommodated an early check in for us, which we really appreciated.

Cons: The property felt quite dated; definitely in need of a new bathroom and kitchen, we thought, to bring it up to modern standards. There was peeling wallpaper and damp around the windows in the double bedroom that needs addressing. Some of the furniture felt like it needed TLC or replacements. The coffee table in the lounge is wobbly but just needs screws tightening. Overall, we just felt that the property needed a little bit of love to make it even better.

Pros: Cosy, comfortable, well equipped cottage in stunning surroundings. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Cons: Rooms quite small.

Beautiful setting

Pros: Beautiful location and setting. The children loved the playground, walks and pond. All felt very safe for them to explore.

Cons: Master bedroom very small, not even room to put a suitcase down.

Really loved everything about it , the shop had everything you needed and the fish van that came was

Pros: Andy was a Gentleman and he was there to meet us around midnight

Relaxing and peaceful stay

Pros: Very peaceful and quiet retreat in a lovely location. Close to local walks and local pub. Very comfortable and relaxing for just me and the 2 dogs.

Cons: Nothing to dislike. Kichen and bathroom perhaps ready for a refit but met my needs and requirements
