A Cosy Cabin in The Woods

Pros: As there is no reception area, the Housekeeper confirmed they would meet us at the property on arrival. As I pulled into the driveway, she was there waiting for us! We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome, informed of all the lodge's facilities, given some information about the site we were staying on and even provided tea/coffee/sugar etc. They had even bottled some of their own well water in the fridge which was a great touch. The lodge was spotless. I only rated this a little lower as I had to rewash some of the cutlery. It was otherwise perfect. We wanted a scenic and secluded lodge stay after our very busy wedding earlier in the week, and we were not disappointed. We used the hot tub every day and night. By day you could hear the cows and the birds and by night you had an excellent view of the stars after the cloud had cleared.

Cons: It's very hard to criticise the lodge given it was perfect for us, but I would suggest levelling out the track on the way in, and sign posting the gates better for guests, as I had to knock on the door of the private residence that shared the drive way for directions.

Relaxing

Pros: It was beautiful inside with everything you needed. Exceptionally clean. Beds were so comfortable

Great holiday, would definitely recommend. We will be back in the future.

Pros: Beautiful lodge, Mel was very friendly and helpful. Loved all the little touches like dressing gowns for use with the hot tub, the wee jug of milk so you could have a cuppa on arrival, the free wifi, the extra pillows and towels, everything was great. Thoroughly relaxing holiday, just what we wanted.

Cons: You have to drive somewhere else to go for a walk, which isn't that bad but would've been nice if u could come out of the lodge and just follow a trail. That is all, every thing else was great.

Amazing lodge loved the hot tub and beautiful location

Pros: The lodge was beautiful it is done to and amazing standard. All the facilities you could need and the cleanliness was outstanding. I loved the location in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal the lodge had amazing WiFi and the hot tub was great. The location was also great to drive to nearby places such as beautiful port Patrick and tig to go for food in sandhead for a take away home cooked meal was deliciousx

Cons: The last little part of road was very bad for pot holes and I feel the instructions for arrival could be clearer we got to the gate fine but weren’t sure it was the correct place as it wasn’t clear so ended up knocking on someone’s door to ask where to go which wasn’t ideal other than that our stay was outstanding and I would love to come back

Pros: When we arive late the owner give as a warm welcome, logde have everything you need. Very high standard and comfort . The Hot tube is briliand.
