Wrens nest

Relaxing and fulfilled all my expectations.

Pros: It was beautiful surroundings, quiet, plenty of walks to take the dog. People in the village where really helpful.

Cons: Nothing really. It suited my needs, the owner was very helpful when I couldn't find the property.

Lovely wee hideaway

Pros: The lovely host Gael met us on arrival 😊 Beautiful cottage, looks right out of a chocolate box 😍 Modern inside and lovely and clean, Compact but with everything you need, welcome gifts were a lovely touch too ❤️ So so quiet 🤫 was absolute bliss! And the added bonus of a lovely starry sky on the last night 🌟 Autumn in the area is lovely We did the walks with our dog, who loved it too. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful break!

Pros: Wonderful location, very clean and comfortable cottage, very helpful and kind staff. We have adored our time here and would love to come back again in the future.

Peaceful and cosy place for some much needed relaxation

Pros: A clean and very quiet cosy cottage, set just outside a nice village with easy access to the A74 to explore the area including a nice former railway embankment walk just down the road. Ideal base for two looking to the Galloway area.

A picture perfect cottage in a beautiful rural location

Pros: Wrens Nest was exactly what we were looking for. Such a cute wee cottage, beautiful inside and out and so comfortable

Cons: Nothing…it was exactly as described, very comfortable and in a beautiful, quiet and secluded location

Pros: A charming peaceful retreat. Well equipped and excellent value. The fudge and prosecco were a nice touch. A good base for exploring.

Beautiful cottage

Pros: We had a wonderful stay in Wrens Nest. It's such a beautiful little cottage with all the necessary amenities and good parking. The cottage may be rather small, but it's tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a decent sized bathroom. We really appreciated details like the welcoming gift and fresh flowers - such lovely gestures making us feel very welcome! We would recommend buying some delicious fresh eggs from the farm down the road. As we tend to do driving holidays with our two dogs annually, it's wonderful to find such beautiful and dog friendly accommodation options! We'd be happy to recommend Wrens Nest to friends and family.

Pros: Immaculate with everything you need. Ideal location for walking at the coast and forest. So peacefully situated off a beautiful lane and within woodland. So quiet and full of wildlife.
