Very peaceful and restful

Pros: The location is excellent and very peaceful, the amount of wildlife around is good. The cottage was very clean, modern and comfy.

Cons: The directors to the cottage are unclear. We managed to get to the village but had to ask several people where the cottage actually was. We found it eventually :)

Cosy cottage in a great location.

Pros: The cottage has been recently refurbished to a very good standard. Set in a quiet location with easy access to the Wasdale, Eskdale and Ennerdale areas of the Lake District as well as some lovely beaches - particularly near Drigg. It is also only a short walk from the local pub which serves good ale and hearty meals. We liked the entrance hall with multiple hooks for hanging damp gear over a warm radiator and also some hooks in the porch for very wet gear which sometimes happens in these parts!

Cons: There were one or two utensils missing from the kitchen that we would have found useful. We have sent details to the landlord so they may already have provided them.

Great place to stay if you want to climb scafell pike and enjoy the beautiful surroundings

Pros: Excellent location for scafell pike, free parking, warm house, comfortable beds, stylish home and very clean! The house manager was helpful and friendly too.

Cons: Some trouble with hot water on Sunday morning between 0800-0915, and the light bulbs could have been warmer colour rather than bright white.

Pros: Lovely cottage, well appointed, in a great location

Cons: Not much, the bed was a little firm for my taste, and the wifi/TV connection was not great

Fabulous

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the Church How Cottage. It is beautiful and spacious and well equipped. Located in a small, friendly village and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Plenty of good walks for all family. Kind and caring owners. Would definitely stay again.

Cons: We loved the property! Photos on the website do not do justice.

Cons: It couldn't be helped, but the weather was bad
