Great weekend stay

Lovely stay in a gorgeous cottage

Pros: Everything! The views were stunning, the cottage charming, the weather was rubbish but that’s Scotland . The cottage was well equipped and the box of toys and selection of books was much appreciated by our toddler. We took a walk up the road towards the farm and there was loads to see without going too close to the farmyard. We met old Bob the retired sheep dog who came toddling down for a pat. Andrew offered our wee boy a shot of the quad bike but turns out our boy just likes to admire from afar. Overall it’s perfect for a family get away with bonus points if you have a farm daft child

Lovely few days in a very comfortable cottage.

Pros: The location was fantastic, 15 mins from Dumfries and 15mins to castle Douglas. Quiet, relaxing and very clean. Loved the back garden as did the dog. The kids loved the fact that they could play safely in the garden and that we had wildlife visit it most evenings (toads, got to love them!). Would definitely recommend staying here if you wish to explore Dumfries and Galloway. We hope to be back soon to explore more.
