A good location in the shadow of Blencathra and a short drive to Keswick when you need to eat.
Pros: The perfect location for our Lake District stays / small and cosy but ideal for 2 people / off street parking / well appointed kitchen (but needs cooking oil) /log burning stove / comfortable rooms / good shower / radiators for drying clothes / very good coffee shop at the end of the road and local bus stops nearby.
Cons: Nothing at the property really - perhaps a warmer rug on the sitting room floor and a slightly bigger couch. And cooking oil :-) A 5pm check-in time is much too late: is not customer focused and with zero flexibility. The two local pubs are both very average unfortunately so the choice for eating and drinking locally is limited. No local convenience store means that you'll need to drive into Keswick to get everything but there is a petrol station 5 mins away - that's a very big bonus in the Lakes if exploring by car. It also rains. A lot. That's why there are beautiful lakes everywhere.

A lovely cottage in a super spot, would certainly revisit.
Pros: Location perfect and thoughtful touches such as tea bags and coffee were welcome. Bedding lovely and views from back bedroom were superb.
Cons: Had difficulty with the flush handle on the loo which had a mind of its own. Rang helpline at start of stay for bleeping alarm, very, very annoying and long winded process to get through. However, once contact made, repair man was with us within 30 minutes, very efficient and helpful. Thank you.

A lovely introduction the Lake District, in the perfect location for our short stay and the road trips we’d planned. We
Pros: The perfect location for our first trip to the Lake Districtt. Small enough for our needs and budget.
Cons: The scaffolding outside, uncut grass - if that had been the phot in the advertisement, we would not have booked it. An issue also with a broken toilet.
