Pros: Great stop for us during the Cumbria way and great price. Everything you could think of provided.

Cons: When putting into maps it doesn’t send you directly to the property, it’s a bit further down the road at another junction

Pros: This was a great place to stay on the Cumbrian Way!

Pros: Excellent location in a beautiful village. Accommodation is immaculate with a range of very useful facilities. Friendly hosts with excellent communications.

Cons: Nothing (Maybe a door mat outside entrance to avoid muddy footprints on interior mat)

Pros: perfect location for walking the Cumbria way - in a very wet week . warm , welcoming , felt like a home away from home

Lovely place to stay. Would definitely come back again if we are in this part of The Lakes

Pros: Well thought out layout and good use of space. It was bigger than we expected from the photos. Instant hot water and easy parking Hosts were very good at communicating.

Cons: We missed having a microwave.

Wonderful, peaceful stay

Pros: Lovely accommodation. Great downstairs walk in shower and bedroom. Upstairs to open plan kitchen/lounge/dining area with view to greenery outside.

Cons: My visit was much too short as I didn't get opportunity to light the log burner, walk around the village or finish reading the local Caldbeck book of history. I will be back!

Pros: Friendly people. Very nice house. No breakfast. Restaurants nearby.

A nice location

Pros: This place is a rare pearl we have found on Booking.com. A very nice space on 2 floors, in a charming village. The kitchen is well equipped, with a good size sofa and table. At the ground floor a good bathroom with a good size shower, and the bed room. Some books and pictures that witness of the history of the place. They give you willing to learn more about it. Good communication with the owners.

Cons: The bed was ok, probably if we would have stayed more nights we would have suffered a bit.

A lovely place for a break

Pros: The Old Map Shop surpassed my expectations - what a lovely property. Stayed here whilst walking the Cumbria Way and felt so lucky to have found this place - beautifully refurbished. It was very close to have dinner at the fabulous Muddy Duck cafe and buy fresh milk from the local vending machine. Caldbeck is lovely!

Cons: That I only stayed for one night!

An amazing location tastefully designed.comfy and welcoming

Pros: Very clean and lovely layout. Nicely converted and very comfortable and cosy.

Cons: A shelf in the shower would be a benefit. Random parking of others was interesting.
