Very well looked after.

Pros: We were staying over because my sister was having an operation on her eye. Because of bad weather we had to stay for 3 extra nights. They were wonderful.

Quiet, peaceful, all needs met and exceeded.

Pros: Just needed a quiet warm cosy room to work at my laptop in. Everything was perfect. I used the wifi constantly and the bathroom toiletries, made copious cups of tea and coffee, dined on lovely baked potatoes in the bar, and worked/slept in the very comfy bed for three nights. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially Shannon (hope Ive got the name right) behind the front desk. Next time I stay I will book the breakfast which looks amazing!

Cons: No complaints.

I've stayed several times in the last ten years or so, and have always felt welcome and comfortable.

Pros: Our room (3, at the front) was large and warm, with views over Burns Statue Square. The room itself looks a little dated, but the bathroom was modern and spacious, with a good shower and lots of room to lay out cosmetics etc. There was a kettle and lots of tea/coffee bags. We ate in the bar one night and were overwhelmed by the cheerfulness and attention of the waiter/barman. The tempura vegetables were wonderful. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from Ayr railway station, right at the top of the High Street. Also a three-minute walk from the bus stop for the bus to Ayr Hospital. And a cinema just across the road.

Cons: The car park is very small, and rather badly lit. In our room there were two comfortable chairs in the bay window, but no table between them, so nowhere to park our teacups.

Pros: Located in the centre of Ayr. Parking space behind hotel. Friendly staff.

Cons: It's a charming old building, withots of wood, typically for an Inn. Because of the wood it's a bit noisy. I didn't mind and had a perfect night sleep but if you do, this may not be the Inn for you.

70’s decor but close to the town centre.

Pros: Very central close to bus route and local shops/pubs, parking available (limited) staff friendly. Bar on site. It’s ok but….

Cons: Really dated, we’ve stayed before simply because its close to amenities. We named it the George Gently as you could film an episode without any internal alterations, old wardrobes, trouser press etc. I think we’ll be spending a few quid more and going elsewhere in the future.

Great location, really helpful and friendly staff and lovely breakfast

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it is well located close to the train station

Cons: A little noisy in the evening, but was to be expected on a Friday/Saturday night in centre of town
