Riverside Lodge Hotel

One night stay dinner, & breakfast with a wedding party of old friends. Always a good time.

Pros: Dinner, breakfast, the function suite. Staff were excellent

Cons: The coffee.

A nice overnight getaway.

Pros: Check in - pleasant staff, quick and efficient service. Rooms - clean, comfortable, towels white and fluffy and plenty of tea bags and coffee sachets. Restaurant- Very good food and breakfast.

Cons: Shower in one of the 3 rooms we booked was not working. There were no connectors for internet use. One room was upstairs and a long way at the end of a long corridor. Older guests should request a room closer to the reception.

We enjoyed our stay but there is room for improvement.

Pros: The lounge bar was very tastefully decorated. The bedroom was spacious and the shower was good. The house keeping staff were attentive, knocking on the door to see if we needed anything even though we had been told by reception that rooms would be serviced every 2nd day, this what not mentioned when booking.

Cons: The lounge area felt cold. Used glasses were left on every table which we had to move ourselves before we sat down. Most probably not enough staff on for this busy time of year. We could see the bar staff were working hard to serve their guests however some of the restaurant staff did not work with the same efficiency . This was disappointing to say the least. The bathroom and bedroom were a little dated compared to some hotels but had everything you needed.

Nice stay

Pros: The beds were so comfortable, the staff were so friendly and happy and couldn't have done more to help you. Really nice lobby area.

Cons: Food was good but not amazing, it was average but the menu was nice and varied. The room dark wood 🪵 left it feeling dated and could do with a makeover like the rest of the room as half of the rooms lovely.

Pros: This is a very smart hotel that oozes class. Lovely room lovely hotel, lovely breakfast

Other than the bathroom issues the hotel was absolutely fine

Pros: The location and facilities are perfectly fine for my visit

Cons: I had an issue with the bathroom , each time the loo was flushed there appeared to be an air lock in the plumbing and was extremely noisy and the noise went on for ages, staff were made aware and attempts made to rectify the problem but unfortunately wasn’t sorted before I left.
