Cumbrian Lodge

Pros: Perfect location for our visit to family with the bonus of stunning beach walks.

Pros: Welcoming, plenty of parking,clean and great breakfast.

Excelent location, Great Hosts, Fantastic Breakfast and quick access to the Lakes.

Pros: We both ordered the Full English breakfast which was piping hot and tasted great. The rooms were as expected with a great selection of refreshments and very clean and tidy. Noise levels were acceptable for a hotel set in a quiet location.

Cons: There was nothing during the stay which we didn't like.

Great stay by the beach

Pros: It was in a great location - within walking distance of the beach. The room was clean and had everything you needed. The staff were super friendly and helpful, plus the breakfast was delicious with a full English as well as cereals and yoghurt. Would definitely come back if visiting the area again.

Cons: poor signal but I'm used to that at home.

Friendly hosts, but you can hear every footstep and cracking noises — not very quiet

Pros: Lovely family-run lodge, very welcoming and friendly. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, and a warm atmosphere — felt like home

Cons: Room was not soundproof — could hear everything from the next room, which made it hard to sleep.

The lodge

Pros: The lodge was very clean the owners were lovely and accomodating. The breakfast was first class 😋

Pros: The hotel was lovely, with great staff who were very informative & friendly. The room was a great size & very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely & we really appreciated our sandwiches packed ready for our walk-up Scarfel pike! The hotel is a short walk from the beach.

Cons: Sadly for us, there were limited eateries/local pubs, which meant having to drive to the next village. Just a little isolated for our personal taste.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent, the host was kind and considerate! The full English was terrific.

A very pleasant stay

Pros: Room was very clean and comfortable and well decorated with many nice touches. Breakfast was very good and the dining areas very nice indeed. Overall a welcoming and attractive venue and warm and helpful hosts. The location has both the attraction of the coast and the stunning Lake District and Scafell on its doorstep. Paul's local dining recommendations were very helpful too!

Cons: A little noisy in the mornings as the Lodge is located on a fairly busy main road in the town but closing the windows helps. Would be good to be able to open the bathroom window for fresh air.
