Helvellyn - The Hut - Twin or Double

Perfect stay under the stars ✨

Pros: Set in a beautiful setting everything you need in one tiny space very homely feel, although our stay was Feb 26 we had blankets and heaters and was so cosey most defiantly recommend, we swam in the beck cold water dip hiked upto Helvellyn walked into the village for food and round Ullswater, there are cooking facilities perfect in the summer and you could BBQ we got the fire going outside and toasted marshmallows, there is a mini fridge you can store food in, all utensils kettle toaster in the mini kitchen also sink and cleaning products, the out door shower is so much fun, the host replied to my message very quickly we asked for earlier check in and they said it was perfectly fine, if you’d like a 1-2 night stay in a mountain ⛰️ this is just perfect, there is a local pub the travelers rest just a 15/20 min walk we walked down in the evening chatted to locals this is a must try Thank you so much

Picturesque, peaceful, cosy

Pros: We had a lovely 2 night stay, the views from the hut were breathtaking. It had everything and more that we could have asked for. Nicky was also great at communicating. We spent the weekend going on walks to aria force and the lake, there’s also a beautiful stream opposite the hut which is really nice to sit and watch at any time in the day. We had a lovely time and we will be ack hopefully in the summer when it’s a bit warmer.

Definitely not our last visit !!

Pros: The hut was incredibly comfortable and welcoming. We were super impressed with how clean it was and how comfortable the beds were! Nicky - our host - is an absolute star and we will 100% be booking this cabin, again. The views are immaculate and the the value for money is brilliant. We definitely recommend !!

With the hut you go for the stunning location and this didn't disappoint.

Pros: Location is exceptional. Half way up the track to Hevelyn.

Cons: Kitchen facilities were a little limited (mainly due to it being tiny). An electric kettle would make life easier. If i had known I would simply bring more kitchen stuff or planned to eat out.

Spectacular scenery

Pros: Cosy little cabin with amazing views. The host, Nicky, is very helpful and accommodating. Although the kitchen is on the small side, it is wonderfully equipped with everything one would need. The fairylights create a lovely atmospheric touch.

Pros: Loves the cosy vibe of the hut and the stunning surroundings, lovely garden with fire pit. Amazing lady who runs it came and made sure everything was ok

Nice hut; lovely, remote location; friendly and helpful owner. Would recommend for a short stay.

Pros: The hut is in an amazing location, out of the way and remote and so an ideal location for hikers or walkers. The views are spectacular and the ambience was very peaceful. The parking was good as it was right next to the garden and practicaly adjacent to the hut (although separated by a fence a lilac bush). The owner was very friendly, polite and helpful.

Cons: It is worth noting that the path up to the hut is single track and gravel in parts. It is also worth noting that there is a youth hostel at the top of the path. Neither of these are an issue but are worth noting.

Pros: Amazing location , beautiful view right outside. Nicky was very welcoming and gave us info about the local area and what activities we could do !
